Democrat Rep. Makes Embarrassing Mistake Just Days Before Mayoral Election
Democrat Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, known for her meticulous attention to detail in the House of Representatives, has made a blunder that’s got everyone talking. Just days before Houston’s mayoral election, Lee’s campaign released a television ad to promote her bid for mayor.
The ad, which aired in Houston’s most watched TV markets, urged supporters to vote on December 7th. The only hiccup? The election is actually on December 9th, and the date she provided is not a voting day.
Political trackers and viewers were quick to point out the error, leading to a flurry of comments and jabs on social media.
While posting the wrong election date in a campaign ad is generally not illegal, it is a significant error that can have consequences in terms of public trust and electoral fairness.
Polls show State Senator John Whitmire leading Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee by seven points in Houston’s mayoral runoff, with 42% supporting Whitmire compared to 35% for Jackson Lee and 22% undecided.

Didn't some guy go to prison for posting the wrong date? They called it election interference, I believe.
