Democrats are More Scared of this Republican Than Trump, and they Should be

When Trump came down that escalator in Trump Towers in 2016, announcing that he would be running for President, something strange happened. Those elites he once rubbed elbows with started to turn on him and join in what has become the longest witch hunt in American History. And Why? Because those same elitists with whom he hobnobbed — including many politicians on both sides of the aisle — knew that he had enough dirt on all of them to expose them for the rotten human beings they truly are. All anyone needs to do is look at what has unfolded in the last five years, and you will realize precisely why Trump is one of the most feared men in American politics.

But there is a Republican that Democrats and progressives fear more than Donald J. Trump, Ron Desantis, Governor extraordinaire.

Governor Desantis has under his belt a stellar resume. He is a native Floridian with blue-collar roots. Desantis worked his way through Yale University, where he graduated with honors. He also graduated with honors from Harvard Law School. While at Harvard, he was commissioned in the U.S. Navy as a JAG officer. During his active-duty service, Desantis was deployed to Iraq as an adviser to a U.S. Navy SEAL commander to support the SEAL mission in Fallujah, Ramadi, and the rest of Al Anbar province. His military decorations include the Bronze Star Medal for Meritorious Service and the Iraq Campaign Medal. Democrats seem triggered by this.

Before becoming the best Governor the State of Florida has ever had, and perhaps what is best of all is, his specialty is Constitutional Law. He served as a federal prosecutor, where he targeted and convicted child predators, whom the left-wing lunatics seem to love. Elected to Congress in 2012, he advocated for congressional term limits and a balanced budget amendment. He also initiated oversight efforts to expose misconduct and corruption in the IRS and other agencies abusing their authority during the fabrication of the Russia collusion conspiracy theory.

Now let’s envision a debate between the potato-in-charge and Governor Ron Desantis. It is unimaginable that Biden would last past the first five minutes of a debate against him. Of course, the Democrats would ensure that a debate between the two would never happen. So, let’s look at Desantis in contrast to Trump. Let’s face it, Trump holds an air of old-school hot-headedness, and as a native New Yorker, I can tell you what irks many Americans about him: he is raw, unrefined, and lacks charisma. He is a “tells it like it is” kind of guy, and he is exactly what this country needed if it were not for the fact that he was constantly fighting an uphill battle against not just a party but an agenda he got in the way of.

“To me, DeSantis is the scarier prospect,” one Democratic strategist said. “He’s a smarter version of Trump, he’s way more strategic, and he doesn’t have a hundred lawsuits at his feet.”

“If Trump goes bust, and he very well may, he’s the main guy I’d be watching,” the same strategist said of the Florida governor.

Like Trump, Desantis has no problem calling out this administration for their shortcomings (of which there are numerous) but seems more charismatic about it.

Just recently, Desantis has blasted Biden’s push for vaccine booster shots to help combat COVID-19, which still seems to be affecting several parts of the country.

“We just saw Joe Biden test positive for COVID, right? And I’ve said we obviously wish him well on that, but you know, this is a guy that’s taken how many booster shots? I mean, seriously, [he’s] done all this stuff and gets it,” DeSantis said at an event in Tampa in July.

During another speech that same week, he also used Biden’s own Covid diagnosis to blast him. “I want to wish the president a speedy recovery from COVID and America a speedy recovery from Biden.”

The man is a legend already, but many still believe that Trump will be the nominee for the Republican Party in the 2024 Presential Election. Besides, we Floridians are not ready to let Desantis go as of yet.
