Desantis Sends Envoy Off to Martha’s Vineyard, To Make Good On Promises Made (Video)

Governor Ron DeSantis is not “monkeying around” when it comes to promises made to protect his state from illegal migration, and he has liberals going off the rails since the news broke last night that he was sending two planes of illegal aliens to Marthas Vineyard.

A video provided by Ron DeSantis’office clearly shows the migrants deboarding the planes at Martha’sVineyard Airport in Massachusetts Wednesday evening.

“states like Massachusetts, New York, and California will better facilitate the care of these individuals who they have invited into our country by incentivizing illegal immigration through their designation as “sanctuary states and support for the Biden administration’s open border policies,” said the governor’s communications director, Taryn Fenske, who spoke on behalf of Ron DeSantis.

In Florida’slast legislative session, the state legislature allocated $12 million for a program that would facilitate the transport of illegal immigrants from Florida to any sanctuary destination, which is consistent with the law. Why can’t progressives fathom this? Florida’simmigration relocation program also targets human traffickers found in the state of Florida but also prevents illegals from coming to the state.

The office of Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker said that it was aware of the situation and that the arrivals are being provided with short-term shelter.

DeSantis had initially suggested sending the envoy to Delaware or Martha’s Vineyard. Still, his office said that at the time, the illegals could also be sent “to other progressive states whose governors endorse blatant violations of federal immigration law.” The states that offer sanctuary through failed progressive policy-making are now bountiful.

“It is not the responsibility of Floridians to subsidize aliens to reside in our state unlawfully; we did not consent to Biden’s open-borders agenda,” the governor’s office said back in November.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott also started rerouting illegal immigrants by the thousands to Washington DC in April. The migrant crisis flooding over from the border was overwhelming border states like Texas and Arizona. In August, buses from Texas were being rerouted to New York City and Chicago, to which Eric Adams, New York’s mayor, had initially responded in exasperation over the number of migrants the proclaimed “sanctuary city” was not prepared for and led to the city sheltering over 5,000 migrants in luxury hotels.

The very elusive and very useless Vice President Kamala Harris had been placed in charge of the border crisis in 2021 but has done nothing to date to do anything about the situation, and in fact, declared this week that the US Southern border is secure while her administration officials estimate that an average of about 55,000 so-called “gotaways” each month make it through the border and into the United States unchecked, and unaccounted for.

What I find most hypocritical in all this is that representatives like Massachusetts state Rep. Dylan Fernandes claim that what Republican governors are doing is not Christian. He said, “Ths is about as unChristian a thing as you could be doing. It’s evil.” Which most of us find rich, considering he is a representative from a state that expanded abortion access after 24 weeks and removed parental consent requirements for 16- and 17-year-olds. If Democrats are going to draw comparisons to Christian faith and ideologies, they might want first to check their integrity and their own Christian morale.
