Donald Trump Has Just Released a Major Statement About Herschel Walker

Donald Trump, 45th President of the United States, has released a statement on Herschel Walker, as he has come under fire over numerous unsubstantiated reports.

“Herschel Walker is being slandered and maligned by the Fake News Media and obviously, the Democrats,” he said in a Save America Pac missive. “Interestingly, I’ve heard many horrible things about his opponent, Raphael Warnock, things that nobody should be talking about, so we don’t.”

“Herschel has properly denied the charges against him, and I have no doubt he is correct,” Trump said. “They are trying to destroy a man who has true greatness in his future, just as he had athletic greatness in his past. It’s very important for our Country and the Great State of Georgia that Herschel Walker wins this Election. With all that Herschel has accomplished, when you come from Georgia, and you see the name Herschel Walker when voting, it will be very hard to resist. Don’t!”

On Monday, the Daily Beast reported that Walker had paid for an abortion, but cited only an anonymous source who purportedly had a receipt:

Herschel Walker, the football legend now running for Senate in Georgia, says he wants to completely ban abortion, likening it to murder and claiming there should be “no exception” for rape, incest, or the life of the mother.

But the Republican candidate has supported at least one exception—for himself.

A woman who asked not to be identified out of privacy concerns told The Daily Beast that after she and Walker conceived a child while they were dating in 2009 he urged her to get an abortion. The woman said she had the procedure and that Walker reimbursed her for it.

She supported these claims with a $575 receipt from the abortion clinic, a “get well” card from Walker, and a bank deposit receipt that included an image of a signed $700 personal check from Walker.

On the same day, Christian Walker, the son of Herschel Walker, who has presented himself as a gay conservative, made several disturbing allegations about his father.

“I know my mom and I would really appreciate if my father Herschel Walker stopped lying and making a mockery of us,” Walker wrote. “You’re not a ‘family man’ when you left us to bang a bunch of women, threatened to kill us, and had us move over 6 times in 6 months running from your violence.”

On Tuesday, Christian Walker doubled down on his claims.

“I’ve stayed silent for nearly two years as my whole life has been lied about publicly,” he said. “I did ONE campaign event, then said I didn’t want involvement. Don’t you dare test my authenticity.”

Herschel Walker had given a simple response to the allegations.

“I LOVE my son no matter what,” he said.

Dan McLaughlin of National Review Online made a simple but effective point about the abortion allegations.

“I do not know if Herschel Walker paid a woman with his own money to have an abortion,” McLaughlin said. “If so, that makes him a bad person unfit for the Senate. I do know that Raphael Warnock wants to pay women with our money to have abortions, which makes him a bad person unfit for the Senate.”

Warnock won election to the Senate in Georgia after accusations that he got into a heated argument with his wife while finalizing their divorce and he allegedly ran over her foot. He has similarly denied such allegations.

When it comes to the Georgia senate election, it isn’t a choice between a morally superior candidate and an immoral one. Herschel Walker is an outspoken advocate for Christian values and is anti-abortion in his political stance, which is more than can be said for Ralph Warnock.
