Donald Trump Slams Georgia Juror Over ‘Illegal And Unprecedented Media Tour’

Former President Donald Trump broke his silence on the controversial developments occurring in the Georgia investigation into Trump’s efforts to overturn the 2020 election results.

Emily Kohrs, the foreman of the Georgia grand jury, went on a widely publicized media tour last week where she discussed her desire to see Trump indicted, revealed details about the jury process, and hinted the grand jury recommended over a dozen indictments.

Trump responded to Kohrs’ media appearances in a Truth Social post published Saturday. The former president described Kohrs as “out of control,” slamming her for doing “an illegal and unprecedented Media Tour DURING the process.”

Trump believes the case is dead due to it now but reasserted he “did NOTHING WRONG” regardless. The 45th president also mentioned a case in New York where “the Democrat Prosecutor actually wrote and released a book during the Witch Hunt.” Both the Georgia and New York case was the result of “TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME coupled with Prosecutorial Misconduct,” Trump wrote.

Even mainstream media personalities at CNN seemed shocked by the grand jury foreperson’s behavior. CNN hosts Anderson Cooper and Elie Honig lambasted Kohrs. “First of all why this person is talking on TV, I do not understand. Because, she’s clearly enjoying herself, but I mean, is this responsible? She was the foreperson of this grand jury,” Anderson told Honig.

Honig explained how it was a “horrible idea” that must infuriate prosecutors. “It’s a prosecutor’s nightmare. Mark my words, Donald Trump’s team is going to make a motion if there’s an indictment to dismiss that indictment base on grand jury impropriety,” Honig said.

“She’s not supposed to be talking about anything, really. But she’s really not supposed to be talking about the deliberations. She’s talking about what specific witnesses they saw, what the grand jury thought of them…It’s gonna be a real problem for prosecutors,” Honig added.

Following the Kohrs slew of media appearances, Trump’s attorneys released a statement:

“The media tour undertaken by the foreperson of the grand jury may have been surprising to some because of its unprecedented nature, but, in reality, was emblematic of the deeply flawed process that took place over the last seven months. As counsel to President Trump, we have remained mostly quiet but have consistently noted the problems with this grand jury proceeding, ranging from questionable to downright unconstitutional. The lens now provided by this foreperson into the lack of seriousness and respect for this process that existed behind the grand jury walls is truly shocking to the legal conscience.

What we have seen over the past 48-hours proves that whatever conclusions were drawn were not the result of an analytical, trustworthy, or credible investigation as one would expect in a matter of historic proportion such as this.”
