Elon Musk Gets Revenge On Disney With Hilarious Move

Reports emerging Thursday have shown that the ongoing Billion-dollar corporate war between entrepreneur Elon Musk and The Walt Disney Company’s vast empire has reached into the very screens of every Tesla vehicle in the world.

Beginning with Disney leading a charge of advertisers stripping away Ad revenue from the social networking platform X, and eventually seeing Musk dunk on the house of mouse from the Dealbook Conference stage on Nov. 29th, the feud has now led to the Disney+ app being stripped from the Tesla Operating System according to The American Tribune.

During the conference as previously reported by Trending Politics, Musk told Disney CEO Bob Iger and his former advertisers fairly directly: “I hope they stop. Don’t advertise. If somebody is going to try to blackmail me with advertising, blackmail me with money, go f*ck yourself. Go f*ck yourself. Is that clear? I hope it is,” before adding, “Hey Bob.”

On Dec. 19th a report from Vulture cited an X post from @TheTeslaHoe who said, “So now I, as a mom, get to deal with telling my toddlers we can’t watch Disney+ while in our Tesla and deal with their upset feelings because 2 grown men can’t have a civil discussion and move on.”

She complained, “This has WAY more of an affect on Tesla owners than it does Disney. Disney is freakin loaded and they’re definitely not reliant on their app being in every Tesla vehicle. Plus I’m sure Bon Iger isn’t up in the night crying about this. This comes off like a temper tantrum. And I feel like Tesla owners are now caught in the crossfire of something that is absolutely not their fault. ***I think Bob shouldn’t have ever pulled advertising. That was silly. But this is also way out of line and leaves a bad taste in my mouth.”

Disney+ was previously pre-loaded onto the Tesla O/S for use while the vehicle is parked in its charging cycle alongside other services like Netflix, YouTube and TwitchTV. However, the Tribune reports this no longer appears the case.

Disney+ can still be accessed and added to the operating platform, but users must access their Disney+ account via the Tesla screens’ native browser by entering the full URL and allowing it to redirect them to the app.

Rob Mattox writing for the outlet observed, “There appears to be no simple solution on the horizon, as both Musk and Disney have dug in.”

Industry publication  Electrek reported that an unnamed source within Tesla confirmed that the Disney+ application was pulled from the Tesla interface. However, they suggest that this was only for users who had never installed the app.
