Ex-DNC Official Flips On Party, Reveals Who Really Controlled Biden’s WH

A former top insider with the Democratic National Committee confirmed earlier accusations about who was really in charge of the Biden White House, name-dropping some powerful players that rarely, if ever, stood in the spotlight.

Lindy Li, who was a top Democratic donor until experiencing a very public fallout with the party last year, said it was no secret within progressive circles who was in charge while former President Joe Biden, at 82 years old, stumbled and bumbled his way through the halls of power.

Behind the scenes, several “puppet masters” sought to keep the wheels on a White House spinning desperately off-course, she explained.

“[Biden is] definitely complicit, but there were a lot of people behind him, like puppet masters. [Former first lady Jill Biden] very much knew what she was doing. What she did was absolutely elder abuse. There is no question in my mind,” Li told Fox News.

Last week, U.S. House Oversight Chair James Comer (R-KY) issued a subpoena to Anthony Bernal, the former first lady’s chief of staff, who has been similarly singled out by ousted DNC co-chair David Hogg for wielding incredible control during the Biden-Harris administration. Comer demanded that Bernal appear for an in-person deposition by July 16.

“They deny the cover-up, but I had a front-row seat watching it happen. People like Anthony Bernal. I saw him running the White House like he was in charge, like he was a king. It’s just so amazing now to see him dodge a subpoena and completely dodge accountability. He can run, but he can’t hide. His name is going to go down in infamy forever,” stated Li.

Bernal, who served as Biden’s deputy campaign manager in 2020, confirmed on June 26 that he would appear for a voluntary transcribed interview before Comer’s committee. However, he backed out once the White House waived his right to executive privilege, making him criminally liable if he lied under oath.

Li said Bernal “followed Jill around like a dog” and that their shadows over the West Wing grew longer as she became increasingly engaged in her husband’s reelection.

Li, who served on the Democratic Finance Committee and helped organize swing state fundraisers for President Biden during the 2024 election, also pointed to deputy chief of staff Bruce Reed, counselor Steve Ricchetti and senior advisors Anita Dunn and Mike Donilon as the “puppet masters” she accused of running the White House around Biden.

None of the former White House aides returned a request for comment from Fox News.

Neera Tanden, a former domestic policy advisor to Biden, testified to the Oversight Committee for hours last week about her experience working with the octogenarian incumbent as he struggled to remember the names and faces of his closest aides or even the years he left the vice presidency and lost his first son to brain cancer. Her testimony reportedly focused on Biden’s use of the autopen to sign dozens or hundreds of executive orders, pardons, and other paperwork during the final days and hours of his presidency.

Tanden told reporters that she “answered every question, was pleased to discuss my public service, and it was a thorough process,” adding that she was “glad I answered everyone’s question.”

Li said Tanden played an “intricate” role in leveraging the autopen when Biden was unable to sign his name.

“Biden was manifestly unqualified and unable to prosecute the duties of the office,” she claimed.

Ultimately, she concluded, it was Jill Biden running the White House in a desperate power play that prominent voices have equated to elder abuse.

“Joe was not able to do a lot of campaign events, so Jill would come out on his behalf, acting like the president or the presidential candidate. That’s why she graced the Vogue cover three times. She loved it. If I were to pinpoint two reasons why Joe decided to run again, it would be two people: Jill and Hunter Biden. Because Hunter Biden’s freedom was on the line and Jill’s ego was on the line,” Li said.

A former Biden staffer, responding to the interview, quipped to Fox, “Who is Lindy Li?”
