Famous Rapper Posts Cryptic Message In Support Of Trump, Vivek
Rap musician Meek Mill aka Robert Rihmeek Williams set off a proverbial firestorm with a single post to X in which the rapper appeared to tacitly endorse former President Donald J. Trump and former 2024 GOP Presidential hopeful Vivek Ramaswamy.
In a post to X Wednesday, Williams shared a post from Benny Johnson with footage of Ramaswamy’s speech supporting Trump in New Hampshire leading up to its first-in-the-nation primary. The popular rapper added the caption, “Wait til yall see who the black people in poverty voting for!!!!”

The post went viral almost instantly, with over 41,000 likes, 5,400+ re-posts and over 2,000 comments as of this report and several prominent voices in the conservative political community have responded.
Community organizer and voting activist Scott Pressler wrote, “Meek Mill, If you hold any community events in Philly soon, I would love the opportunity to come & register everyone to vote. We are working tremendously hard in Philadelphia. We want to provide opportunity & prosperity for all of black America. We’re all in.”
Meek Mill,
If you hold any community events in Philly soon, I would love the opportunity to come & register everyone to vote.
We are working tremendously hard in Philadelphia.
We want to provide opportunity & prosperity for all of black America.

Williams made a follow-up post on Thursday that seemed to indicate larger figures in the music industry are pressuring him due to his post. He wrote, “I gotta watch the way I speak on twitter they be calling my big homies on me! lol”

If these posts truly do indicate public support for Trump and Ramaswamy, Williams would find himself in laudable company with the likes of Ice Cube, Lil Wayne, Badman Kevo, Buffalo rapper Benny the Butcher, and Lil Pump as reported by the New York Post in September. Even YG, a rapper made famous for his anti-Trump track “F–k Donald Trump,” told interviewers that the “black community” had a change of heart about the former President.
“I ain’t going to lie, bro, the black community is not f–king with Trump, but when this PPP s—t and all that s—t came out, black people forgave him,” YG said. “I’m speaking about these mothf—kers in the hood. I am speaking on their behalf. This is what they say. ‘s—t, Biden ain’t did nothing for us, that n—a Trump is passing out money.”
Following Trump’s controversial surrender and booking by Georgia authorities in August, conservative commentator Dinesh D’Souza observed in a viral post to X. “In the urban black community, a mug shot can be an iconic symbol, both of victimization and of greatness. It’s a defiant UP YOURS to “the man.” Think Tupac Shakur. Trump is now the ultimate gangsta in our culture”
