Fans Concerned After Country Star Stops Tour To ‘Heal’
Jelly Roll is stepping away from the road after a bruising personal year that included the end of his nearly decade-long marriage to Bunnie Xo.
The 41-year-old country star told fans during a July 28 show at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City that he plans to take an extended break from touring after wrapping his final scheduled performance.
“This has truly been a lifetime experience for me,” the “Save Me” singer told the crowd, via Country Now. “And in a couple of nights, I go to Colorado Springs and do my last show for a year or two. I’m fixing to take some time off and heal. Thank you for the opportunity.”
The announcement came at the final stop of Jelly Roll and Post Malone’s co-headlining “BIG ASS Stadium Tour Part 2.”
Jelly Roll’s last scheduled solo show took place July 30 at Weidner Field in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
His official website does not list any upcoming concert dates.
Fox News Digital reached out to Jelly Roll’s representatives for comment.
The break follows a whirlwind stretch for the singer, whose real name is James DeBoard.
Jelly Roll filed for divorce from Bunnie Xo on May 18, listing May 9 as the date of separation and citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split.
The former couple finalized the divorce in early July.
Jelly Roll and Bunnie first met at a Las Vegas concert in 2015 and eloped the following year.
During their marriage, Bunnie became a stepmother to Jelly Roll’s daughter, Bailee, and son, Noah.
The terms of the divorce settlement remain confidential.

People reported that the former couple would divide assets including homes, cars, an aircraft and intellectual property.
Jelly Roll also agreed to make a “one-time, confidential lump sum payment to Bunnie, so there will be no alimony claims to be made in court,” according to the outlet.
Both sides have pushed back against rumors that cheating caused the split.
Jelly Roll told fans “nobody cheated on nobody,” a claim later echoed by his daughter Bailee.
Bunnie also denied infidelity on her “Dumb Blonde” podcast, saying “nobody cheated.”
Still, the divorce has played out under a bright public spotlight.
Over the Fourth of July weekend, Bunnie made headlines after she was seen kissing reality TV personality Dylan Wolf at Jelly Roll’s Goodnight Nashville Bar.
She later said on her podcast that she was not dating the “Calabasas Confidential” star and described the moment as part of her “hot girl summer,” adding that Jelly Roll “gets it.”
In a since-deleted June podcast episode, Bunnie claimed Jelly Roll had “started dating” again after their split.
Despite the divorce, the two have signaled they do not plan to fully cut ties.
Bunnie said in a since-deleted podcast episode that she and Jelly Roll still plan to have a baby through a surrogate and co-parent after the divorce.
Jelly Roll later told fans that “every word” of her podcast was “the truth” and called her his “best friend.”
Professionally, Jelly Roll has kept moving.
He released the inspirational single “Hands Up” in June and continued touring while navigating the divorce.
He has also continued documenting his health transformation after losing 275 pounds over the past few years.
The singer’s decision to step away from touring now appears to be less about slowing a career and more about catching his breath after years of nonstop work and public upheaval.
Since breaking through to mainstream audiences in 2022, Jelly Roll has played hundreds of shows, crossing from rap into country and becoming one of Nashville’s most unlikely success stories.

After one more Colorado Springs show, Jelly Roll’s calendar went quiet.
This time, the man known for singing through the hurt is choosing to step offstage and deal with it.
