Out from under her contact with the Daily Wire, Candace Owens has much to say about her separation from the conservative media outlet and her falling out with its Jewish co-founder Ben Shapiro.
“The rumors are true— I am finally free,” she wrote Friday morning on X, encouraging followers to subscribe to her own program. “There will be many announcements in the weeks to come.”

In her final show for the Daily Wire, Owens hinted that major changes would be coming, starting with her trip to Israel where she stated she would be free to report “what it is that I actually see” during the nation’s war against Hamas.
“I am team God… I do not fear the media, I do not fear [the American Israel Public Affairs Committee],” she said.

“I think that one day we are all going to account for the things that we have done and things that we have said, and I want to make sure that I am not a person that is parroting lies. Fear of losing your job, of encouraging people to spit out lies? I don’t think that works in the end.”
Shapiro, a devout Jew, has reportedly clashed with Owens over her criticisms of Jewish leaders for allegedly being racial supremacists. Reviewing her recent interview with a prominent rabbi, Owens said she was relieved to hear him speak honestly about how his race is “more important” than others.
“I think he views himself as better… or at least his race as more important, more significant, the history of his race as more significant… If you are honestly a supremacist, at least I can appreciate that,” she said.
The widening conflict between Israel and Hamas has opened divisions within the conservative movement, pitting Owens and Shapiro on polar opposite ends about America’s role in defending its longtime ally. As Owens has become more vocal about her objections to Israel’s military campaign, she has gained support from white supremacist Nick Fuentes and received public condemnations from the Anti-Defamation League. Shapiro, meanwhile, has traveled frequently to speak in favor of Israel’s right to defend itself.
