HERE WE GO: Latest Move From Ron DeSantis Teases 2024 Showdown With Trump
Powerhouse conservative Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida could potentially be signaling a possible 2024 bid by following in the footsteps of those who have come before him by announcing the publication of an autobiography and political blueprint on Wednesday. This is definitely going to fuel the fires of speculation that have been burning ever since DeSantis started taking bold stands against the insane wokeness in his state involving parental rights in education and, of course, the fight against lockdowns during the pandemic.
It's on!

According to a report from The Washington Examiner, HarperCollins Publishers stated that its imprint, Broadside, would be publishing DeSantis’ book, titled, “The Courage to Be Free: Florida’s Blueprint for America’s Revival,” toward the end of February 2023.
“In The Courage to Be Free, Governor Ron DeSantis chronicles the most consequential decisions of his life and public service, including turning the Sunshine State into the promised land for millions of Americans. He has become one of America’s most closely watched officeholders, having delivered a historic, record-setting 2022 gubernatorial victory, winning by nearly 20 points and more than 1.5 million votes,” the publisher went on to say regarding the book.
It’s fairly common for potential presidential candidates to put out biographies about a year or two before elections take place as a means of setting the stage for their campaigns, and from the looks of it, it seems as if DeSantis might be employing the same strategy.
Take a look at how the publisher described the book in its statement.
“The Courage to Be Free will cover key moments in his life, including growing up in a working-class family, playing in the Little League World Series, working his way through Yale University and Harvard Law School, volunteering for the Navy after 9/11, and serving in Iraq. He will also share details about his marriage to Casey, their three children, and Casey’s battle with cancer. This book will center on critical issues that brought him to the center of the debate over the future of our country. He shares his thinking from when he was fighting back against COVID mandates and restrictions, critical race theory, woke corporations, and the partisan legacy media. He chronicles his bold, substantial policy achievements: enacting trend-setting education reforms, reducing taxes while generating a record-setting budget surplus, taking strong stances on immigration and law and order, ushering in a new era of conservation for Florida’s treasured natural resources, and appointing conservatives judges to top Florida courts,” the statement read.
“Governor Ron DeSantis writes, ‘What Florida has done is establish a blueprint for governance that has produced tangible results while serving as a rebuke to the entrenched elites who have driven our nation into the ground. Florida is proof positive that we, the people are not powerless in the face of these elites,’” the statement continued.
“Everyone can see Governor Ron DeSantis is a gifted leader, and now people will discover he’s also a gifted writer. His book explains how he applies his sense of True North to life and leadership,” Broadside Vice President and Editorial Director Eric Nelson remarked.
Earlier this month, during the midterm elections, DeSantis scored a massive victory over his Democratic Party competition and was given credit for turning the state red, politically speaking.
Recent polling, according to the Washington Examiner, has revealed that DeSantis is currently the Republican Party’s second choice for the presidential nominee, hot on the heels of former President Donald Trump, who announced his bid for the White House earlier in the month.
