The incendiary remarks of Attorney General Letitia James, where she characterized the Trump administration as “too male, too pale, and too stale,” have once again come to the public forefront.
James, who is currently the Attorney General of New York and formerly served as the New York City Public Advocate, used the phrase “too male, too pale, too stale” to describe Washington D.C. at the time.
The renewed focus on James’s comments comes at a time when Trump’s team is doubling down on their criticism of the Attorney General’s involvement in the lawsuit. The Trump camp suggests that the lawsuit is less about justice and more about political theatre, with James attending court sessions selectively for the media attention.

In October at the start of the trial, Trump blasted the legal proceedings labeling the entire system as “corrupt.” Trump voiced his frustration at being “stuck” in New York due to the ongoing trial while mentioning his desire to be campaigning.
“You have a racist attorney general who made some terrible statements, and you see some more that came over the wires today. It’s a very sad situation for our country. We shouldn’t have this. This is for third-world countries. And it’s very unfair.”
Trump has strongly criticized the judge’s ruling that valued his Mar-a-Lago property at $18 million, in stark contrast to Trump’s own valuation of $1.8 billion. The ruling was in part of a civil case led by James, accusing Trump and his company of misleading banks and insurance companies by overvaluing assets, thus exaggerating his net worth in official documents.
Trump has continuously claimed that James is in cahoots with the Department of Justice in Washington, D.C., with the sole intent of keeping him preoccupied, instead of being focused on his campaign.
“I’m stuck here because I have a corrupt attorney general that communicates with the DOJ in Washington to keep me nice and busy, because I’m leading Biden in the polls by a lot,” Trump explained. “That’s all it is, this is election interference. They made up a fake case, they’re fraudulent people. And the judge already knows what he’s gonna do.”
James quickly responded to the comments made by the former President, labeling them as “offensive,” “baseless,” and devoid of any factual basis. She went on to describe Trump’s comments as ones that “fomented violence” and accused him of “race-baiting.” She also bizarrely griped that his remarks appeal to the “bottom of our humanity” and can have detrimental effects on the public.
The Attorney General has claimed that the ongoing case against Trump is rooted in allegations of a “pattern and practice of fraud.”
“I will not be bullied!” James said. In a pointed remark aimed directly at the former President, James declared, “Mr. Trump is no longer here. The Donald Trump show is over.” She dismissed the entire situation as a mere “political stunt” orchestrated by Trump.
Trump is currently now the favorite to win the 2024 Presidential Election.
