Former Supporter Confronts AOC At Town Hall Event: ‘I Used To Support You!’
U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez struggled to get through her opening statement at a town hall event on Friday, as pro-Palestine protesters who identified themselves as former supporters immediately crashed the event.
As Ocasio-Cortez first began speaking, she pulled up a PowerPoint presentation in order to go over her agenda for the night’s event. She was then interrupted before she could even get through her first slide, which focused on the Trump Administration’s budget cuts.
“I am a healthcare worker and I want to know what you’re doing about the genocide in Gaza!” the protester shouted at the congresswoman. The audience then came to AOC’s defense by chanting “shame, shame, shame,” while several audible boo’s could be heard.
The congresswoman — who has long criticized Israel while voicing support for Palestine — then attempted to appease the protester to no avail.
Event staffers then approached the protester, who continued to yell before eventually leaving under her own power. “Shame on you, you’re a liar. You’re a liar!” the woman screamed.
“Shame on you, I used to support you,” the woman continued to shout as she made her exit. “You’re a war criminal! War criminal! War Criminal!”
The progressive congresswoman eventually addressed the disruptor after things quieted down. “I more than welcome people who disagree, or are super pissed off at me for any issue to come, but we have some ground rules here,” she told event attendees.
“Please wait for the Q&A, because we don’t want to deprive all of our neighbors of the ability to have information and hearing them respond to it… We need to be able to have this conversation.”
A chunky @AOC gets shouted down at her own town hall by pro-Palestine extremists.
Ironically, AOC herself is a pro-Palestine extremist.

Rumors have swirled over the “Squad” congresswoman’s political future, as her campaign has raked in more than $9.5 million in fundraising over the past three months. Ocasio-Cortez has also been attempting to raise her national profile with a nationwide tour alongside Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT), which was largely been concentrated in red states.
A recent poll Quantus Insights — one of the most accurate pollsters from the 2024 presidential election and recent addition to the RealClearPolitics polling average — found sizable Democrat support for an AOC presidential bid in 2028.
The poll found former Vice President Kamala Harris leading the field with 30 percent, while Ocasio-Cortez came in second with 14 percent. The survey turned heads in the political world as Ocasio-Cortez was able to beat out more seasoned options in former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ), and California Governor Gavin Newsom.
The data has sparked alarm among moderate Democrats and strategists already uneasy about the party’s ideological drift. “She’s not leading the party,” Quantus posted on X, “but more voters now believe she represents it than Biden or Obama.”
