Craig Roh, former NFL and Canadian Football League player, has passed away at the age of 33 after an 18-month battle with Stage IV colon cancer. His wife, Chelsea Roh, announced the heartbreaking news on social media, stating that Craig was brought home by God on Monday.
“Craig was not very public with his battle, as he truly just wanted to focus on bringing the best content and building the best products he could,” his wife wrote on X.
After college, Roh briefly played in the NFL with the Carolina Panthers before moving to the Canadian Football League, where he continued to excel and won a CFL Grey Cup championship. Post-football, Craig ventured into the technology sector in Austin, TX, and founded an online defensive line coaching business, all while starting a family with his wife, Chelsea, and their son, Max.

Roh’s athletic journey was marked by significant achievements from his early years through to his professional career. In high school, he was recognized as the Gatorade Player of the Year in Arizona for the 2008–2009 academic year and received the 2009 Scholar-Athlete Award from the College Football Hall of Fame.
His talent on the football field led him to enroll at the University of Michigan in 2009, where he made an immediate impact by starting all 12 games as a true freshman in a unique hybrid linebacker position.
After college, Roh transitioned to professional football, playing for the Carolina Panthers in the NFL and later for the BC Lions and Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the CFL. He made significant contributions to his teams, including winning a CFL Grey Cup championship with Winnipeg.
