‘FOX IS DEAD’: Trump-Tucker Interview Racks Up Jaw-Dropping Viewer Count
The much-anticipated interview between Tucker Carlson and former President Donald Trump on Wednesday not only exceeded expectations but shattered records, leaving traditional media outlets reeling.
Hosted on Tucker Carlson’s show, Episode 19, titled “Debate Night with Donald J Trump,” garnered a staggering 212.3 million views. To put this into perspective, when Fox News broke the debate ratings record back in 2015, largely attributed to Trump’s participation, the event peaked at 24 million viewers.
Pollster Rich Baris highlighted the overwhelming contrast between the two events. “When FOX broke the debate ratings record in 2015 because of Trump, it was 24M viewers. It will not come anywhere near the @TuckerCarlson interview with Donald Trump, which was about 74M at end and now approximately 190M,” he tweeted.

Sebastian Gorka, a prominent conservative figure, didn’t mince words when summarizing the situation. “75 million viewers for Tucker and President Trump in one hour. FOX is dead,” Gorka proclaimed in a tweet that quickly gained traction.

It’s clear that the former president’s appeal still remains strong, with millions tuning in. Meanwhile, it looks like Tucker also got revenge on his former network. Despite the fact that Fox hosted the debate with the other candidates, the former host seems to be doing just fine.
During the interview, Trump was asked whether he believed his political enemies would try to have him killed as his poll numbers continue to rise despite four indictments. “Impeachment didn’t work twice, obviously. The indictments are not working, your poll numbers go up. When they raided Mar-A-Lago in August of last year, your numbers went up,” Carlson said.
“They can indict you 20 times and you’re not gonna lose the Republican primary because of that,” Carlson continued.
“It makes it look even more ridiculous,” Trump replied. “I mean the four indictments, and maybe there’s more, I don’t know. These people are crazy,” he continued.
Carlson then described the indictments as an escalation and asked whether Trump believes that the radical left will escalate to physical violence against him. “Are you worried that they’re going to try and kill you?” Carlson asked. “Why wouldn’t they try to kill you, honestly?” he added, pointing to the steady increase of authoritarian rhetoric and politically motivated indictments.
“They’re savage animals,” Trump said of the radical left and the Biden Administration. “They are people that are sick, really sick.”
He then specified that he believes there are still plenty of good people in the Democratic Party and added that he wants to be the president of every American. “But I’ve seen what they do, I’ve seen the lengths that they go to. When they make up the ‘Russia, Russia, Russia’ and that’s exposed… it explained how corrupt it was.”
The former president went on to state his belief that the radical left “hates” America.
