Fox News Hires Bush Family Member
Fox News Media is adding a familiar name to its lineup, hiring longtime television personality Billy Bush as a contributor focused on culture and entertainment.
Bush, a member of the prominent Bush political family, will provide cultural analysis across Fox News Media programming and platforms, the network announced Tuesday.
He is the nephew of former President George H.W. Bush and a first cousin of former President George W. Bush and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush.
Bush is set to make his debut Tuesday night on “Jesse Watters Primetime” at 8 p.m. ET.
“I’m excited to join Fox News Media and its loyal audience to share my perspective on the people, ideas and moments shaping today’s culture…. as well as the ones trying to undo it!” Bush said in a statement.
The move gives Fox another veteran broadcaster with decades of experience covering Hollywood, celebrity culture and major live events.

Bush currently hosts “Hot Mics With Billy Bush” and previously spent five seasons hosting the syndicated entertainment program “Extra” from 2019 to 2025.
Before that, he briefly co-hosted the third hour of NBC’s “Today” and spent years with “Access Hollywood,” where he covered major entertainment stories and celebrity events.
He also hosted the nationally syndicated radio program “The Billy Bush Show.”
Bush’s television career was upended in 2016 after the release of a previously unaired 2005 “Access Hollywood” recording featuring Donald Trump making lewd comments about women during a conversation with Bush.
Bush subsequently left NBC.
He returned to television in 2019 as host of “Extra” and has since continued working across television, radio and podcasting.
His resume also includes coverage of some of the entertainment industry’s biggest events, including the Golden Globes, Grammys and Academy Awards.
Bush covered the Olympics for NBC from 2004 to 2016 and reported live from the 2011 wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton for NBC News.
Now, the longtime entertainment host and member of one of America’s best-known political families is officially joining the Fox News Media roster.
