Matt Gaetz will nominate Donald Trump for Speaker of the House
Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz told a large crowd that he would nominate former President Donald Trump as Speaker of the House, replacing Democrat Nancy Pelosi, under one condition – that the GOP takes the majority in the upcoming midterm elections.
This took place over the weekend at a Trump rally in Georgia. Gaetz had the idea to replace Pelosi with Donald Trump last year, and this year he brought it up again when he addressed the crowd.
Gaetz said: “There is no greater country than America! There is no greater president than Donald J. Trump! And if you don’t mind me saying so, there is not a better member of Congress than Marjorie Taylor Greene… Give us the ability to fire Nancy Pelosi, take back the majority, impeach Joe Biden, and I’m going to nominate Donald Trump for Speaker of the United States House of Representatives.”
At some point, former President Donald Trump got on the microphone and began slamming President Joe Biden. Trump suggested that Joe Biden has ‘no idea’ what he’s doing, further shaming the Democrats for how they’re running the White House and America.
Trump said, specifically: “we have a president that has no idea what the hell he’s doing.”
