‘Go Woke Go Broke’: Ellen Degeneres New Show Targeting Kids Gets Canceled

Ellen Degeneres took a massive blow as her recent animated tv show that targeted young pre-school aged children has officially been canned from being released…

To make matters worse for Ellen, the show even had episodes that were already made and are now being barred from even being released. Those episodes have been ‘shelved indefinitely’ according to sources.

The co-creator of the show, Jennifer Skelly, found out embarrassingly that the show would be removed from HBO Max simply by reading it in the news.

The show entitled “Little Ellen” had finished two seasons which since have been stripped from HBO Max’s streaming platform and the twenty episodes that make up the next season will officially never see the light of day. This only proves once again that anything that goes WOKE (especially kids shows) will eventually go broke…

Skelly was told by HBO Max’s parent company, Warner Bros., that the show was originally being delayed until 2023 but found out about the entire cancellation in August, a crushing blow to anyone in that industry.

“In the streaming culture, I don’t know everything about how that process is done. But to me, it seems like, ‘Well you’ve got them. Just flip a switch. They’re done and they’re delivered.’ But obviously, there’s so much corporate stuff going on in terms of what that means for them financially,” Skelly told Variety.

Warner Bros. as of late has been cutting costs of having to pay out residuals to media groups for the content in order to save more money. It appears as if Ellen’s latest show and attempt to stay relevant was early on that chopping block…

“There were writers who had their first episodes in that back 20, and there were directors who got their first shot at directing. We had a lot of firsts on our crew, and they won’t get to see those episodes on TV and see their credit. It’s really tough,” Skelly went on to say.

“I don’t think people are going to avoid working with that studio or even necessarily be able to know what to ask for in the contract to protect themselves, because the parameters in a year-and-a-half are going to be different again,” Skelly also said.

It’s not a shocker that Ellen’s show has been canceled even her long time talk show was recently ended after fierce backlash over how Ellen was treating her co-workers and staff.
