HUGE: Trump Just Caused A Seismic Shift In Kentucky Governor Race

With an endorsement from former President Donald J. Trump, gubernatorial candidate and current Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron is now polling neck and neck with the incumbent Democrat Governor Andy Beshear.

In a vocal endorsement posted by Trump to Truth Social and by Cameron to X Wednesday, the former President called Beshear “a disaster for Kentucky.” adding that Cameron on the other hand is “good on every common-sense policy there is.”

“Daniel Cameron is a young star who has done a great job as your attorney general,” Trump began. “Always being fair but very very tough, and the wonderful people of Kentucky know it.”

He touted the AG for being “a tremendous fighter on crime, lowering taxes, saving our Second Amendment, stopping inflation and of course helping our great military and our vets.”

“I have known and worked with Daniel Cameron for a long time and he’s good on every common-sense policy there is. He’s a common-sense person. He will never let you down and he has my complete and total endorsement,” he said in the video.

Posting the video to X, Cameron wrote, “I’ve been hitting the campaign trail hard these past few days & one thing is clear: Kentuckians are tired of Biden. Andy Beshear supports Biden & I fully support Donald Trump. Let’s get Beshear out of the statehouse & get Trump back into the White House!”

Two days later our colleagues at Just The News broke the story that the two candidates are effectively tied in the polls following the endorsement in the latest survey from Emerson College.

“Cameron appears to have gained ground by consolidating Republican voters who supported former President Donald Trump in the 2020 election,” Emerson College Polling Director Spencer Kimball told the outlet. “In October, 54% of Trump supporters supported Cameron; now, as election day approaches, that number has jumped to 79% – a 25-point increase.”

Cameron’s appeal to the Kentucky voters appears to be catching on with a simple message he posted to X,

“This race is not about Republican versus Democrat. This is about crazy versus normal.”

“I’m standing up for Kentucky values. What is dangerous is a governor who shut down our schools and our kids have significant learning loss because of it. Look, I tell people all the time, this is not about Republican vs. Democrat. This is about crazy vs. normal,” Cameron said in an interview with The Washington Examiner.

“And it’s crazy to have a governor here in Kentucky who would openly endorse Joe Biden for president. But that’s what we have in Andy Beshear. It’s crazy to have a governor who would let 2,000 criminals out of jail, but that’s what we have in Andy Beshear.”
