Grassley’s Latest Vow Over FBI Raid Of Trump Home Should Have Liberals Praying Red Wave Doesn’t Splash Down In November

Iowa Sen. Chuck Grassley, who is also the top member of the GOP on the Senate Judiciary Committee, has made a vow that he will investigate the Justice Department’s raid on former President Donald Trump should the Republican Party take control of the upper chamber of Congress during the midterm elections.

“If I’m in the majority, and I’m chairman of the Judiciary Committee, again, I intend to pursue all of these things until we get to the bottom of it,” Grassley went on to say during an interview with Breitbart News on Saturday.

We definitely need some sort of investigation to be done on this because the implications of the weaponization of the FBI are important for all Americans. If this was nothing more than a political attack to try and disqualify him from running for president in 2024, then we have a serious, serious problem here.

One that could end up opening up the door for the FBI to attack anyone who doesn’t hold to a specific set of ideological principles. And that, my friends, is terrifying.

A report from Just the News said that Grassley also stated that he has no doubt that the GOP is going to retake the House come election time, going on to say that lawmakers have a “constitutional responsibility” to look into the raid, which was authorized by Attorney General Merrick Garland.

“Under Republican and Democrat administrations, we get a great deal of runaround from the Justice Department,” Grassley commented. “And I’ve even been told by whistleblowers within the Justice Department that ‘we’re not going to do any of Grassley’s investigations.”

For many years now, Grassley has been tossing questions at the department concerning its alleged investigatory bias when handling investigations whether that is concerning information gleaned from the laptop of President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter, or if it Crossfire Hurricane, the counterintelligence probe that was launched by the bureau to try and discover if there was a connection between Russian officials and former President Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign.

“Americans’ confidence in the criminal justice system is decreasing. A Gallup poll conducted in June showed that just 14% of Americans expressed faith in the criminal justice system, down six points from 2021,” the report said.

Some might wonder why Grassley is not taking action against the bureau right now, however, the answer should be obvious. Without control of Congress, any measure taken by the GOP to try and get to the bottom of this raid will just end up being shut down.

Sometimes, while we may want justice or the truth right off the bat, things are so complicated that takes a little time to work it out, follow all of the leads, and really see the truth for what it is.

After all, this isn’t a movie. The resolution doesn’t come after a couple of hours. It may take days, weeks, or even months to reach a conclusion. It’s better not to rush things and end up causing all sorts of mistakes that lead to an individual getting off the hook.
