Greta Van Susteren Announces Newsmax Colleague’s Tragic Murder
Veteran journalist Greta Van Susteren took to the social media platform X to share the tragic news of the murder of her Newsmax colleague and makeup artist for three and a half years. The victim’s prior career was with ABC and ESPN.
Van Susteren described the victim as a close, trusted friend, expressing sadness at their last talk, which had come just days before the makeup artist’s murder.
“What sadness….my Newsmax make up artist of 3 1/2 years, and years at @ABC @espn etc and a friend to all of her colleagues…was murdered over the weekend…she did my make up Friday for the show and of course I never dreamed that would be the last time I would see her…” she wrote.

The murder of Susteren’s friend and colleague has left many Americans discussing escalating crime rates around the nation, especially in America’s biggest cities, stating it points out the need for a stronger law enforcement presence nationwide.
A 2023 report from the U.S. Bureau of Justice Statistics revealed that homicides within the workplace have been rising for some time now, surging by 30 percent since 2019. Experts in the field have said these numbers reveal that progressive policies have failed to properly address violent crime, particularly in urban areas.
Critics have pointed out how lenient sentencing of criminals and reduced funding for police departments have contributed to spiking crime rates, along with the immigration policies of the Biden era, which, they say, America is still dealing with the fallout from.
In the Newsmax journalist’s X post, a plea for the capture of the murderer, coupled with the replies praying for justice, demonstrates the public’s need and deep desire for accountability that comes along with traditional values of law and what’s fair and right.
Many folks on the right have argued that such crimes should make stronger policing, stricter penalties, and community vigilance a much higher priority to prevent these kinds of violent acts from becoming a part of day-to-day life in the streets of our cities and local communities.
