‘Had No Clue’: Trump Savagely Rips Pete Buttigieg In Hilarious Clip
President Donald Trump took a flamethrower to former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg on Thursday, unloading a barrage of mockery over what he called Buttigieg’s incompetence and presidential aspirations.
Trump has slammed the wave of air traffic control issues plaguing U.S. airports, laying the blame squarely at the feet of Buttigieg, who led the Department of Transportation under the Biden administration.
“When they took over Buttigieg, who has no clue,” Trump said. “You know, he drives to work on his bicycle with his — with his — in all fairness, with his husband on the back, which is a nice, loving relationship. But he didn’t have a clue. This guy didn’t have a clue.”
Trump continued, “And he’s actually a contender for president.” Without skipping a beat, Trump widened his critique to include Rep. Jasmine Crockett, the Texas Democrat he recently called “low IQ.” “Between him and Crockett, you can have that party,” he joked. “But he [Buttigieg] didn’t have — he didn’t know what he was doing.”

Trump has blamed Buttigieg for ongoing air traffic disruptions at Newark Liberty International Airport. Following the tragic plane crash near Washington, D.C., in January, Trump also blamed diversity hiring practices at the FAA for the incident.
“Air Traffic problems caused by the incompetent Biden Administration, as headed by, in this case, a total novice and political hack, Pete B. I WILL FIX IT!!!” Trump wrote on Truth Social Thursday.
“It’s obviously a real concern, a major concern,” Pete Buttigieg recently told Jen Psaki, addressing both the Newark situation and aviation issues nationwide. “When you become Secretary of Transportation, you know that your most important priority is safety. I understood that, my predecessors understood that, and my successor says that he understands that.”
Buttigieg has pushed back on criticism from his Trump-appointed successor, Sean Duffy—who recently claimed on Fox News that the Biden administration dropped the ball on modernizing FAA infrastructure. “It’s just politics,” Buttigieg said.
The former Transportation Secretary has consistently ranked among the top choices in early Democratic primary polls. In a Data for Progress poll conducted in April, Buttigieg led with 17% support when former Vice President Kamala Harris was excluded from the field, followed closely by Senators Cory Booker (D-NJ) and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) at 14% each. Another poll by Atlas Intel placed him at 28%, second only to Harris.
Buttigieg’s national profile, bolstered by his 2020 presidential campaign and tenure in the Biden administration, positions him as a prominent figure among Democrats seeking a younger, media-savvy leader to counter the MAGA agenda.
Meanwhile, Rep. Crockett has recently entered discussions as a potential 2028 candidate. However, her national polling numbers remain modest. For instance, an Echelon Insights poll from April 2025 shows her at 3% support, below the 15% threshold typically required to earn delegates in Democratic primaries .
