BREAKING: Democrat Senator Forcibly Removed From Press Conference In Shocking Video

on

Senator Chris Padilla (D-CA) had to be forcibly removed by federal agents after he stormed into a press conference being held by Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem on Thursday.

Noem was speaking in Los Angeles about recent Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations that spanned multiple days of attacks on federal agents and rioting. Agents came under attack in Paramount, California and at the Edward R. Roybal Federal Building after 45 illegal aliens, including convicted rapists and murderers, were apprehended.

During Thursday’s press conference, Padilla stormed towards Noem’s podium and accused her of “exaggerating” the violence directed towards federal agents. At that point, security personnel approached the senator and proceeded to physically remove him from the room.

“I am Senator Alex Padilla… I have questions for the secretary,” Padilla shouted as he was being escorted out. The senator continued to shout until he was pushed out of the room, at which point he yelled, “Hands off!”

Federal agents could then be seen escorting Padilla down a hallway, where he was taken to the ground and handcuffed.

“I’m told Noem is in a room meeting with Senator Padilla right now,” Fox News border correspondent Bill Melugin reported. “After I stopped recording, my team witnessed him being taken to the ground by FBI personnel and he was temporarily detained. Awaiting further details on what happened out of our view.”

Noem soon informed reporters that she held a 15-minute meeting, during which they swapped phone numbers, with the senator after the incident. “Says it was cordial and beneficial. He had concerns about ICE operations & they opened up a line of communication. Said it was a good meeting and things are okay between the two of them (outside of all the political reaction happening now),” Melugin reported.

DHS spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin announced that Secret Service agents thought Padilla was an attacker due to the aggressive manner in which he stormed into the room.

“Senator Padilla chose disrespectful political theatre and interrupted a live press conference without identifying himself or having his Senate security pin on as he lunged toward Secretary Noem,” McLaughlin announced in an X post. Mr. Padilla was told repeatedly to back away and did not comply with officers’ repeated commands. [Secret Service] thought he was an attacker and officers acted appropriately.”

California Governor Gavin Newsom described the altercation as, “outrageous, dictatorial, and shameful.”

“Trump and his shock troops are out of control,” the far-left governor added.
