You’d think the Trump-hating loons would eventually tire of throwing firebomb after firebomb at Teflon Don only to see them bounce off one after another and do no damage whatsoever to him. You’d think. Yet they never do. Instead they keep up the same inane nonsense day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year.
And so Michael Cohen re-enters the state of “orange man bad” drivel in the Mainstream Media, this time making what might be the most obviously absurd and delusional of any claim he’s yet made. What was that claim? The obviously false contention that Trump won’t run in 2024 because he’s scared of going up against Liz Cheney.
LOL. As if former President Trump, a man of power who broke the back of the RINO-dominated GOP and seized the reins of power for himself in 2016, who has remained fighting and punching since he rode down that golden escalator in 2015, who has turned the Bush, Clinton, and Cheney “dynasties” to ash with the posting of a few tweets, is scared of the RINO that lost by a 40 point margin in her home state.
But yes, that’s really what Michael Cohen said during a Monday appearance on SiriusXM’s “Mornings With Zerlina”. Speaking about whether or not Trump will run in 2024 and arguing that Trump is too scared of Lying Liz Cheney the RINO to run in that presidential race, Cohen said:
“I do not believe Trump is going to run. First of all, he knows that he can’t win the general election statistically, and his fragile ego will not allow him to be a two-time loser. I just want to be very clear on that.
“Second. I believe that if, in fact, that he runs, he is not just going to get the nomination by the Republican party, by the RNC. There are going to be plenty of people that are going to challenge him. And rightfully so.
“He does not want to go up against, like, for example, Liz Cheney, she already stated, ‘If he’s running, I’m running too.’ Uh, and then there’s, there’s so many others that you want to — Ron DeSantis, he’s already lost in a poll to Ron DeSantis, who I think is possible — equally or even greater of a threat to this democracy than even Donald, first of all, he’s smarter than Donald, and I think he’s more sinister.”
There’s a bit that’s right and much that’s wrong there. Cohen is probably right that Trump won’t run if he doesn’t think he can win. Why would he? But Biden looks weak and Trump obviously smells blood, so that probably won’t be a problem.
Then there’s the bit about Trump not getting the nomination. That’s almost as dumb as the Liz thing. About 60% of the GOP still wants Trump to be the nominee. If he wants to run, he’s our guy. He’ll get it, whether McConnell and Co. and their corporate donors want him to or not.
And, finally, there’s the utterly absurd bit about Liz Cheney. Trump would love to go up against Liz. That would be like going up against Jeb!, though Liz probably wouldn’t even elicit the same sort of pity that Jeb! did when Trump beat up on him. Trump would wipe the floor with her.
