Hollywood Superstar Breaks His Silence, Urges ‘Closeted Conservatives’ To Endorse Trump

Actor Zachary Levi, the child star turned Marvel universe actor, is publicly urging “closeted conservatives” to step out from the shadows and join him in endorsing former President Donald Trump.

In an Instagram video on Sunday, the 44-year-old “Shazam” star responded to comments earlier in the week from Whoopi Goldberg on “The View” where she characterized Hollywood as a “right-leaning town” where “very few people seem to bite it because they’re Republican.” Not true, according to Levi who pointed out that the notoriously liberal comedian turned daytime talk show co-host was only able to name two conservative actors, Jon Voight and Dennis Quaid, out of thousands working in the industry. He credited Voight and Quaid, saying their age and prestige allows them to come out as conservatives because they are  “at a certain level of your career to get away with it.”

“And what that means is there’s plenty — and by the way, they have sent me lots of messages — plenty of people in my industry in Hollywood that are terrified to publicly say that they would vote for Donald Trump or be conservative in any way,” Levi said, Fox News reported. “That’s why you don’t see them. That’s why they’re not very prevalent or prominent because they know that there’s ramifications for this kind of s***.” He added that he doesn’t see the film and TV industry in decline following the pandemic and predicted business will soon go “f****** gonzo.”

“So anyway, my cry to all of you out there, you closeted conservatives, closeted Trump voters, y’all, it’s now or never, you know what I mean?” Levi said. “Do whatever you feel like you need to do. If you need to come out publicly and say it, if you feel like you still can’t, then don’t. I would never pressure you to do that, but know that if what you’re afraid of is somehow the backlash of an industry that’s not going to exist very soon, then don’t let that hold you back.”

Levi had been among the most prominent supporters of Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.’s quixotic bid for the White House. Since dropping out in September, the independent candidate has backed President Trump and Levi has appeared with him at several “Make America Healthy Again” events to stoke support for Trump among anti-Covid lockdown audiences. Later that month, he joined RFK and former Democratic congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard in Dearborn, Michigan to stump for the former president. “I stand with Bobby and I stand with everyone else who is standing with President Trump,” Levi said in a viral clip from the event circulating on X. “My parents were Kennedy Democrats that then turned into Reagan Republicans. And they taught me to have a healthy level of distrust for the government and a healthy level of distrust for industry that runs amok.”

“And for a long time, I was, like man, I really want to find a politician who represents all of the things that I want and I want to see in a presidential candidate. We live in a country that has been hijacked by a lot of people who want to take this place way off the cliff. And we’re here to stop that, right? We’re here to make sure that we’re going to take back this country. We are going to make it great again. We are going to make it healthy again. And so I stand with Bobby, and I stand with Tulsi, and I stand with everyone standing with President Trump because I do believe that of the two choices we have, President Trump is the man that can get us there, and he’s going to get us there because he’s going to have the backing and the support and the wisdom and the knowledge and the fight that exists in Robert Kennedy, Jr.”

Looking back now, Levi said in his latest direct-to-followers video statement, he wishes for the “perfect world” where RFK is the presidential frontrunner. “In a perfect world, in whatever that would look like, perhaps I would have voted for Bobby,” Levi said. “But we don’t live in a perfect world. In fact, we live in a very broken one. We live in a country that has been hijacked by a lot of people who want to take this place way off the cliff, and we’re here to stop that.

“We are going to take back this country. We are going to make it great again, we’re going to make it healthy again. And so I stand with Bobby and I stand with everyone else who is standing with President Trump… Of the two choices that we have, and we only have two, President Trump is the man that can get us there,” Levi added.
