Hunter Biden’s New Business Endeavor Crashes And Burns
A new cryptocurrency token associated with Hunter Biden has lost 98 percent of its value since debuting.
The token LAPTOP, a reference to the former First Son’s numerous scandals involving his personal laptop, began trading on the Base network, an Ethereum layer-2 blockchain developed by Coinbase. The token, trading under the ticker $LAPTOP, reached an early high of $190.81 within the first two minutes of trading before falling to as low as $3.70 within the first hour.
One hour after the open, it traded at $4.77, representing a decline of around 98 percent from the intraday peak. Later figures from the same day showed prices in a range including $2.16, $1.97, $1.49, and $1.26 depending on the timestamp.
The token has a fixed maximum supply of 1 billion LAPTOP. At launch, 350 million tokens, or 35 percent of the total, were circulating. This produced a market capitalization of roughly $1.6 billion at the $4.77 price point, with a fully diluted valuation near $4.8 billion.
Pooled liquidity was reported at $2.5 million by some trackers. Blockchain analytics firm Arkham noted that shortly after opening, the fully diluted valuation briefly reached $144 billion against a liquidity pool holding $48,000. First-hour trading volume reached approximately $19 million across multiple pairs.
POLL: Would You Vote Against ANY Candidate Who Calls Themselves A Socialist?
For years, Trump and right-wing media have been asking, “Where’s Hunter? Where’s Hunter?” Well, here I am. Clear, strong, seven years sober, and with a lot to say.
By now, you may have seen the article in the Wall Street Journal that I’m launching a meme coin called $LAPTOP.…

The project is structured through the Phoenix Veritas Foundation in the Cayman Islands and Phoenix Veritas Ventures Ltd in the British Virgin Islands. Hunter Biden is identified as a founder.
The official website describes the token as a memecoin created for entertainment and community participation that confers no equity, ownership, economic interest, utility, staking, governance rights, dividends, or revenue sharing. Its stated purpose is to reclaim the narrative around a laptop Biden left at a Delaware repair shop in 2019, the contents of which became public during the 2020 U.S. presidential election.
“They turned laptop into a weapon. I turned it into a token,” Hunter said shortly before the coin’s launch. The project documentation and website emphasize that the token has no planned product, protocol, or additional utility and that its value depends on demand and community sentiment. Biden noted awareness of skepticism toward meme coins and stated that buyers should not expect him or others to increase the token’s value.
Meme coins typically derive value from social attention and speculation rather than underlying cash flows or protocol use.
