‘I Have A Bomb’: Harrowing Clip Shows Moment Man Threatens To Hijack Plane Miles From Trump
A harrowing clip circulating on social media shows the final seconds when a Trump-hating man pledged to detonate a bomb aboard a commercial aircraft before passengers managed to subdue him.
The incident occurred on Sunday, about an hour outside of Scotland, where President Donald Trump was in talks with European leaders to reach a trade deal. Video shows the man shouting “I have a bomb” as passengers screamed and ducked for cover.
“Death to Trump!” and “Allahu Akbar!” were just several of the chants uttered by the man, who was taken down by fellow passengers traveling aboard an easyJet flight from London to Glasgow.
The man, a 41-year-old whose name has not been released, claimed in the clip he wanted to “send a message” to Trump during his visit to Scotland.
“I’m going to bomb the plane! Death to America! Death to Trump!” the man can be heard yelling as he stormed up and down the aisle with his fist in the air.
The easyJet flight 609 returned to safety when a heroic passenger charged the man and tackled him to the ground, allowing others to pile on and pin him down. It all occurred around 8 a.m., just an hour after the plane took off from London’s Luton Airport, the NY Post reported.
One witness said the ruckus began after the would-be terrorist emerged from a bathroom.
“At that point, one guy managed to grab him from behind and pull him down, then everyone jumped on top of him,” the passenger said.
“He was fighting a bit on the floor, but at this point, he knew he’d f**ked up.”
Video of the takedown kept rolling, and heroic passengers could be seen questioning the man about his intentions while others slammed him as an “idiot” for his rantings about Trump.
The suspect was kept in his chair until pilots could safely land the plane. Antiterrorism authorities swept the cabin and determined that no explosives were aboard.
As he was being walked down the aisle by police, the deranged individual could be heard asking if anyone had seen his missing cell phone and wallet.
“F**k off!” someone shouted, eliciting loud laughter.

Scotland Yard stated the man appeared to have acted alone and said they did not anticipate any further danger as a result of his actions.
“Flight EZY609 from Luton to Glasgow this morning was met by police on arrival in Glasgow, where they boarded the aircraft and removed a passenger due to their behavior onboard,” easyJet said in a statement.
“The safety and wellbeing of our customers and crew is always easyJet’s highest priority,” the company added.
