Is There a Path for Greasy Gavin Newsome To Gain the White House Without Getting Elected?

We have all witnessed, either firsthand or on television what a dystopian hellscape California has become under Dem leadership, particularly Greasy Gavin Newsome. Since Dems love nothing more than ruining everything good and decent, many on the left are hoping for a Gavin Newsome run for the White House in 2024. It’s widely assumed that, despite his claims Joe Biden will shuffle off into the sunset after this term. Where does that leave the party? Likely in the hands of the wholly uninspiring, low IQ Vice President Kamala Harris. Even the Dems can see what a problem that would be.

According to one clever contributor at “The Hill”, there is a path to getting Gavin and his hair gel in the White House without ever needing a vote. Far-fetched? Probably, but can we put any sleight of hand past the Democrats? they make David Blaine look like Doug Henning. Check this out.

What Tuesday’s voting demonstrated is that our country is still equally divided and deeply polarized, with no political healing on the horizon.

That reality speaks to the need for a proven vote-getter with lots of money and a logistical machine behind him. In Politics 101, California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) meets — maybe even exceeds — those qualifications.

The writer here is a fellow named Douglas MacKinnon. He was a political strategist in the 80’s and 90’s.

An official in President Ronald Reagan’s administration as well as Bush 41 and Bush 43 has laid out a plan in which Democrats could elevate left-wing California Gov. Gavin Newsom to the presidency without him having ever been elected.

While the odds of this happening are extremely remote, it’s at least an interesting concept. A concept I’m not sure Americans would back, though they would have no choice until 2024. It should be noted that in his column, MacKinnon also incorrectly predicted that President Trump would not declare for 2024, and that the GOP is suffering from “Trump fatigue”. Both appeared to be incorrect based on the rousing announcement from Mar-a-Lago on Tuesday.

Despite being wrong on both counts, the path laid out for Newsome to bring his failed leadership style to Washington is feasible.

In one scenario, Biden could ask Harris to resign and replace her with Newsom, who then becomes the heir apparent for 2024. Or Biden could replace Harris with Newsom and then resign himself, making Newsom the president before 2024 and arming him with the full force of the Oval Office.

Might the Democrats leapfrog him into the Oval Office before 2024? It would be political malpractice for them not to consider the option.

That certainly would be a lot of moving pieces, and a lot of career politicians (Biden) conceding that their time in Washington is over. Considering the megalomaniac that Biden is, who could reasonably envision him giving up the Presidency for the “good” of the Democratic Party? Doesn’t sound like something Joe would do.

This smells like Democrats understanding that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris would be a disaster in 2024, and desperately creating scenarios to get them out of the way for more hair product in the White House. A plan that’s as slippery as Newsome’s hairline. Slippery is in the Dem playbook, so while the possibility is remote, don’t put anything past them.
