‘IT’S SURREAL’: John Kennedy Slams Democrats’ Trump Persecution, Compares It To Third-World Countries

Senator John Kennedy (R-LA) has always been good with words, and in an interview about the most recent Trump indictment, he let his formidable use of humorous analogies and metaphors loose. “President Trump has been indicted four times in the last five months,” noted Senator Kennedy. “It is surreal … Politically, it is like a zombie apocalypse. I mean we are not talking about a doordash driver here.”

Senator Kennedy remarked that the person indicted “is a former president of the United States and he is a current active candidate for president of the United States running against a party whose four prosecutors have indicted him. And regardless of what you think about President Trump, this is unprecedented. It is really going to test our political system.”

The Louisiana politico then accurately stated, “This is the sort of thing that happens in countries whose Powerball jackpot is 387 chickens and a goat. I mean, we don’t do that in America. Now, having said that this was the first time [such indictments happened] but I can assure you it won’t be the last. There are thousands of prosecutors out there in America, Republican and Democrat. Very ambitious. And now that the glass has been broken, I worry about what that means for the rule of law in our system.”

One X user, Carime O’Leary,  found the Senator’s twang funny and wrote “Lol. He is not lying!”

Nevertheless, despite the humorous quips in the Senator’s remarks, there is sobering content to consider that a chapter of political lawfare has been opened through these acts by these politically minded prosecutors. Stephen Miller, the founder of America First Legal, made a less humorous musing when he wrote, “Conservatives actually believe that if they just explain originalism with enough patience and persuasion the Left will stop burning down civilization and jailing political enemies. Leftism does not seek rational debate in good faith; it seeks to conquer, humiliate and destroy.”

Senator Eric Schmitt (R-MO) also warned that “What we are witnessing before our eyes is a fully weaponized Left that is censoring and criminalizing dissent in America.”

Representative Byron Donalds (R-FL) also chimed in:

“They drop each Trump indictment strategically to downplay big breaks in our Biden Family corruption investigation. Now every case is scheduled for the heart of election season, yet they still continue to claim it’s not political.”
