JD Vance’s Mom Takes The Gloves Off, Torches Abdul El-Sayed: ‘That Man’s An Idiot’
Beverly Vance Aikins unloaded on Democratic Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed after he dragged her grandchildren and daughter-in-law into his racially charged attacks on Vice President JD Vance.
“I think that man’s an idiot,” the vice president’s mother told OutKick’s Tomi Lahren during an interview Wednesday on “Tomi Lahren Is Fearless.”
Beverly Vance was particularly furious over El-Sayed referring to her grandchildren as “brown kids” and claiming her son would one day face an “awkward” conversation with them. He also mocked second lady Usha Vance and made crude remarks about the couple’s marriage.
“Those are my babies. I love those babies and would do anything for any of them,” she said. “And I love Usha as if she were my own daughter. She’s one of the best, most genuine people I’ve ever met. And she loves my son, and she’s a good mother.
“And I don’t pay attention to people like that.”
Aikins initially said she “laughs off” El-Sayed’s broadsides against her family. But when Lahren pressed her, the protective grandmother acknowledged that his remarks had struck a nerve.
“I mean, it makes me mad, honestly, because he doesn’t know JD and he doesn’t know, you know, what type of person he is, and I do, but in the long run, I’m not going to do anything about it,” Vance Aikins said.
“I mean, you know, I’d probably punch the guy if I ever seen him, and then that would get me in trouble — So, I’ll just go with the flow,” she added.
Don’t mess with @JDVance‘s mama. @TomiLahren had the honor of interviewing Beverly Vance Aikins today and she did NOT hold back. Full conversation out now.#mamabear #vicepresident #usa pic.twitter.com/OIxlXTFhCu

El-Sayed, a far-left Democrat facing Republican Mike Rogers in Michigan’s hotly contested Senate race, made the inflammatory comments during an April appearance on “The Allen Analysis Show.”

“What do you think is going through Usha’s head when [the vice president] talks? She’s like, ‘Damn, I have to sleep with him,’” El-Sayed said.
“I guess she’s pregnant so something is happening,” the former Detroit public health official continued. “Can you imagine, he’s got brown kids, at some point he’s going to have a really awkward conversation with his kids, like, you made your career hating people who are different.”
El-Sayed later escalated his attack, declaring that “JD Vance has brown kids who he thinks are less American than everyone else.”
He also invoked the vice president’s late grandfather, who was Beverly Vance’s father, while insinuating that he might not have approved of Vance marrying Usha, who is Indian American.
“So do we think JD is taking Usha with him back in time to meet Papaw, or no…” El-Sayed posted on X.
The post came after Vance referenced his grandfather during an Ohio event and accused El-Sayed of suggesting that criticism of Sharia law is racist.
