Joe Biden Declares ‘We’re The United States Of Amerigotit’ In Latest Public Appearance
Former President Joe Biden declared that “we’re the United States of Amerigotit” in his latest verbal gaffe during a speech Friday before the International LGBTQ+ Leaders Conference in Washington, D.C.
“We just have to get up. As long as we keep the faith … and remember who the hell we are. We’re the United States of Amerigotit, that’s who we are! We’re the U.S.!” Biden said.
The former president went on to tell assembled lawmakers and left-wing activist that it was time to “fight back” against the Trump Administration, which he accused of violating thee Constitution.
“All of us are dismayed by the present state of the union,” he added. “This is no time to give up. It’s time to get up. Get up and fight back. Get up. Continue to fight. And what’s the fight all about? … it’s about protecting the Constitution. It’s about protecting the Constitution.”
The former president further accused President Donald Trump and his supporters of attempting to “distort and derail our fight for equality” and “further divide the country,” according to a report from Fox News. “They’re trying to turn it into something scary, something sinister. But folks, it’s really not about anything that’s all that complicated. At its core, it’s about making every American given the opportunity to be treated with basic decency, dignity, and respect they all deserve. That’s what every single American deserves, every American.”
Biden, 83, is continuing to receive treatment after he was diagnosed with an advanced form of prostate cancer earlier this year.
Back in May, the 46th president announced that he had been diagnosed with an “aggressive” form of prostate cancer that had metastasized in his bones. The president’s team announced that the cancer “appears to be hormone-sensitive, which allows for effective management.”
Initial evaluations in mid-May confirmed the diagnosis, prompting a multifaceted treatment plan. Hormone therapy, administered via oral medication, began immediately to suppress cancer growth by reducing testosterone levels, which fuel prostate tumors.
By early October, Biden entered a new treatment phase with radiation therapy at the University of Pennsylvania’s Radiation Oncology clinic in Philadelphia, near his Delaware home. This five-week course targeted the prostate and affected bone areas to shrink tumors and alleviate symptoms. A spokesperson confirmed on October 11 that the regimen combined radiation with continued hormone therapy for comprehensive control.
On October 20, Biden completed the radiation sessions, marking a key milestone. Accompanied by family, he rang a ceremonial bell at the clinic—a common tradition signifying the end of a treatment cycle.
The former president has continued to attend public events and give speeches while managing his diagnosis, though he has largely spent the bulk of his post-presidency life out of the public eye.
