Joy Reid Caught Criticizing Biden On Hot Mic: ‘Starting Another F**king War’

MSNBC host Joy Reid appeared to criticize President Biden for “starting another fu**ing war” while speaking on a hot mic.

Reid was running a segment on the border crisis when she paused to run a clip of President Biden’s remarks on the issue. Thinking her microphone was off, Reid could be heard saying “starting another fu**ing war,” likely in response to Biden’s expected decision to launch strikes on Iranian assets in the Middle East.

As Trending Politics News previously reported, President Biden is expected to authorize military action in the Middle East as early as tonight. The strikes will come in response to the attack on a U.S. military outpost on the Syrian-Jordanian border that left three U.S. service members dead and at least 40 wounded.

Options for strikes include attacks on Iran-backed militias in Syria and Iraq, as well as Iranian naval assets in the Persian Gulf, according to a report from Politico.

The decision is expected to be among the most consequential of Biden’s presidency, as fears of another major war in the Middle East rise. Biden has already authorized strikes on Houthi targets in the Middle East as a result of numerous attacks on commercial shipping vessels bound for Israeli ports.

The Shiite group — which has received significant assistance from Iran — controls roughly half of Yemen’s territory, including the capital of Sanaa.

As Biden mulls direct strikes on Iranian territory, a clip has re-surfaced from 2020 in which Biden claimed that then-President Donald Trump was leading the nation into a war with Iran.

“The world has changed because of what Trump has done. And the American people, including independents and some Republicans, know how bad he is. Know how much he’s misrepresented. Know how he’s getting close to getting us in a war,” Biden said on the campaign trail. “I said as the walls close in on this man, I’m worried he’s going to get us to war in Iran. Unfortunately, I may have been right.”
