JUST IN: Bombshell Revelation Surfaces From Obama-Russiagate Files
Top officials in the Obama administration may have quietly withheld documents contradicting U.S. intelligence community concerns that President Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign was conspiring with Russian forces to influence the election, according to Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard.
That revelation is the first time actors in the government’s “Crossfire Hurricane” investigation appear to have concluded that a connection between Trump and the Russians was nonexistent, documents show. That information was allegedly pulled from a Daily Presidential Briefing offered to President Obama shortly after the election that year, despite being cleared for inclusion.
The Dec. 7, 2016, briefing reviewed potential fears about Russian hackers attempting to coerce Trump into conspiring to influence the election, as well as Russian attempts to infiltrate state election software ahead of Election Day. However, a senior official “killed” the document’s inclusion, citing “new guidance,” according to Gabbard’s office.
Journalist Matt Taibbi reported the discovery of the documents, which concluded that “Russian and criminal actors did not impact” the election despite well-publicized fears at the time.
Michael Flynn, President Trump’s former national security advisor, “was reading the PDBs at that point” and told Taibbi that if published, “[he] would have seen it.”
Flynn added that it was “very likely” the PBD had been amended, he told Taibbi, given that the U.S. intelligence community was producing evidence in the investigation.
A 2016 memo from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence offered the following guidance: “We have no evidence of cyber manipulation of election infrastructure intended to alter results.”
After the PBD was killed, officials from the National Security Council Principals Committee gathered with Obama to update him on the investigation.
That meeting resulted in an email, titled “POTUS Tasking on Russia Election Meddling,” which included a request for the intelligence community to complete an “assessment per the president’s request.”
The ODNI’s report on Friday alleged that “Deep State officials in the IC” were meddling with Obama’s PBD in order to obscure findings that suggested Trump was innocent, the Daily Caller reported.
Over the weekend, President Trump trained his fire on his predecessor, sharing AI-generated images of the 44th president in handcuffs and a prison jumpsuit. Trump alleged both on social media and in public remarks that Obama knew to some degree what his intelligence community advisors were doing when they insinuated his campaign colluded with Russian forces.
Trump took office in 2017 under the shadow of the investigation, which ultimately led to the appointment of Special Counsel Robert Mueller and ultimately resulted in Trump’s exoneration. Not content to let the controversy end there, advisors to former President Joe Biden orchestrated a letter in 2020 alleging that Hunter Biden’s laptop was also a “product of Russian disinformation,” a claim widely parroted by mainstream media at the time.
Now, the president’s officials at the CIA and FBI are exploring the possibility of bringing criminal charges against John Brennan, James Clapper, James Comey, and staff to Obama and Biden, who evidence suggests may have acknowledged or participated in baselessly tying Trump to Russian actors.
