JUST IN: Bombshell WSJ Report Blows ‘Biden Health Cover-Up’ Wide Open
New details have emerged suggesting an extensive effort by aides within the Biden administration to conceal the true state of President Joe Biden’s health. A new Wall Street Journal report, published late Wednesday, cites multiple sources within the administration who claim that there has been a systematic approach to managing information and public appearances to downplay any concerns about Biden’s health.
According to the WSJ, insiders assert that close advisors have been particularly cautious about the president’s schedule. They often limit public appearances and demand strict control over media access. The report detailed an incident in which aides reportedly intervened to adjust the lighting during a press conference to make the President appear more vigorous.
The controversy centered around undisclosed health episodes that allegedly occurred several times over the past year and were downplayed or not disclosed to the public. During the 2020 Democratic primaries, Jill Biden was a fixture across Iowa, participating in events in more counties than her husband. Her press secretary at the time, Michael LaRosa, highlighted this during a conversation with a local journalist. However, the comment quickly drew the ire of Anthony Bernal, then a deputy campaign manager and chief of staff to Jill Biden.
While traveling through Iowa’s expansive cornfields in a minivan, Bernal instructed LaRosa to contact the reporter once more to downplay the comparisons between Joe Biden, who was 77 at the time, and his younger wife. Bernal said that Jill’s vigorous trail activities were casting shadows on her husband’s comparatively slower pace, as LaRosa later recounted. Close aides expressed their concerns over the stark contrast. According to the WSJ, Jill’s dynamic and busy schedule further accentuated the president’s more deliberate pace.
Aides’ efforts to manage Biden’s public image faltered as his health declined, highlighted by the damning report from Special Counsel Robert Hur. Released last year, the report portrayed Biden, then 81, as forgetful and frail. Despite the concerning findings, Hur opted not to prosecute Biden for mishandling classified documents in his Delaware garage, describing him as “a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.” The WSJ reported that Biden even struggled to remember lines during preparations for his interview with Hur. Additionally, Biden frequently canceled key national security meetings, with aides attributing the cancellations to his fluctuating health, noting he had ‘bad days and good days’.
A source who observed the situation closely over the past four years told the WSJ that a select group of aides was always near Biden, providing constant guidance and support. “They body him to such a high degree,” the source remarked. Additionally, press aides were directed by senior staff to exclude any negative news stories about the president when compiling media clips.
According to a Democratic strategist speaking to DailyMail, much of Biden’s executive authority has been wielded by key advisors who remain behind the scenes, notably Bruce Reed, Steve Ricchetti, and Mike Donilon. These advisors, often referred to as the ‘Biden whisperers,’ have been described by lower-level staff as forming a powerful ‘triumvirate’ with significant influence over the president. As Biden’s term nears its conclusion, there’s a growing consensus in Washington that it’s difficult to discern who has truly been at the helm of the administration.
