JUST IN: Buckingham Palace Makes Major Announcement On King Charles’ Health
Buckingham Palace has announced major news concerning the King’s health and his royal duties.
The palace released a statement Friday announcing that King Charles will soon resume public-facing duties following his recent treatment and recuperation from cancer. The news is significant in the King’s recovery as he hopes for a return to normalcy in royal engagements.
“His Majesty The King will shortly return to public-facing duties,” stated the official press release from Buckingham Palace. This is particularly significant as it follows a period during which the King had to step back from his responsibilities to focus on his health. The King’s first appearance will be a visit to a cancer treatment center next Tuesday with the Queen.
“This visit will be the first in a number of external engagements His Majesty will undertake in the weeks ahead,” the release noted. During their visit, the royal couple will meet with both medical specialists and patients. King Charles, who has been making frequent trips to London for radiotherapy treatment, has not specified the type of cancer he is battling.
A close friend of the royal family recently told the Daily Beast: “It’s not good.” Earlier in February, Charles announced that he was diagnosed with cancer following a hospital admission for an unrelated condition related to an enlarged prostate. However, it is understood that the diagnosis was made at an early stage.

It has been speculated that the staff of the king have been actively developing his succession plan, raising concerns that his cancer diagnosis might be “more dangerous than we have been led to believe.” Reports suggest that the situation has led the King to begin formalizing his succession plans sooner than expected, placing Prince William at the forefront.
Photos revealing a drooping right eye taken outside St. George’s Chapel in Windsor on Easter Sunday further fueled speculation. “It looks like Bell’s palsy,” noted internist Dr. Gabe Mirkin. “Paralysis of the nerve damaged the facial muscle [resulting in] the indentation on the side of his face. The same thing can happen to the muscles around the eye.”
“The King and Queen will host Their Majesties The Emperor and Empress of Japan for a State Visit in June, at the request of HM Government,” said the release. The visit is expected to foster stronger ties between the two nations and underscores the importance of international relations during King Charles’ reign.
As the first anniversary of King Charles’ coronation approaches, the royal couple expressed their gratitude for the global support received throughout the past year. “Their Majesties remain deeply grateful for the many kindnesses and good wishes they have received from around the world throughout the joys and challenges of the past year,” the press release finished.
Earlier this week, it was revealed that officials are reviewing the monarch’s funeral plans, sources close to the royal family have confirmed. The plans, codenamed “Operation Menai Bridge,” are being updated regularly due to the king’s undisclosed cancer diagnosis, raising more questions than answers about his ability to fulfill his duties as head of state.
