JUST IN: Democrat Mayor Gets Into Brawl, Loses Wig In Shocking Clip From Town Hall Meeting

A Dolton, Illinois, town board meeting spiraled into absolute chaos when Mayor Tiffany Henyard inserted herself into a brawl that broke out between her boyfriend and an activist. What started as a routine meeting quickly devolved into an all-out melee, complete with fists flying, a wig lost, and a jaw-dropping exit line that left the room in stunned.

Footage from the event shows Henyard’s boyfriend clashing with activist Jedidiah Brown, who had called the embattled mayor a derogatory name moments before the fight erupted. Henyard, already facing mounting criticism and allegations of corruption, took matters into her own hands—literally—jumping into the altercation in a shocking display of volatility rarely seen from an elected official.

In a surreal moment caught on camera, Henyard’s wig was ripped from her head and sent flying across the room as the scuffle escalated. Onlookers gasped as the mayor, rather than deescalating tensions, appeared to join the fray alongside her boyfriend.

Brown vowed, “use every bit of my research and skill to scoop up every receipt I may have missed on them all.” The atmosphere escalated the following day during a town meeting, when Brown labeled the mayor “a b*tch” while demanding her resignation.

Moments after his statement, he was confronted by Kamal Woods, the boyfriend of Henyard, who is similarly facing allegations of corruption. Police reported that by the time they arrived at the scene, everyone directly involved had fled, and no arrests were made.

Former Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot recently concluded an investigation into Mayor Henyard’s financial management, revealing significant mismanagement and a lack of transparency. The report found that village credit cards were used for unauthorized purchases, with over $170,000 spent on travel and $51,000 on restaurant expenses.

Additionally, Amazon purchases exceeded $218,000, including nearly $50,000 for a skating rink. The village’s financial health plummeted from a $5.61 million surplus in 2022 to a $3.65 million deficit by 2024. Trustees were allegedly denied financial reports, and the village faces 48 lawsuits, including 12 over Freedom of Information Act violations, as reported by NBC5.

This month, a judge also found Henyard in contempt of court for reportedly failing to approve promised liquor licenses. After months of delays, the judge’s decision compels Henyard to sign off on the licenses, enabling the opening of St. Patrick’s, a three-story restaurant and banquet hall. The establishment’s attorneys stated that this ruling allows the business to commence operations, according to WGN9.

The meeting was convened to reinstate the town’s insurance policies, which had left residents without social services for over a month. Despite these challenges, Henyard announced her intention to run for a second term as mayor in October 2024.

Henyard was elected as the youngest mayor of Dolton in 2021 after two terms as a trustee on the village board. She also became the first African American woman to hold the mayoral position.

In 2022, a special election was initiated to consider her recall, but a Cook County judge declared the referendums invalid. Following this decision, a state appeals court confirmed that the votes from the faulty recall could not be tallied.

Henyard also holds the position of supervisor for the Thornton Township board, managing services across 17 communities.
