JUST IN: FBI Told Weiss It Had Already Corroborated Biden Bribery Claims, Source Says

The Federalist learned through a source that the Pittsburgh Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) office had already corroborated many details highlighted in the FD-1023 memo that alleged that then-Vice President Joe Biden accepted a bribe from a Ukrainian energy company executive that employed the president’s son. Agents from the Pittsburgh office informed the Delaware office of their work and their corroboration of many aspects of the bribery form.

The Pittsburgh FBI managed to obtain the travel records of the confidential human source behind the memo which confirmed that the source traveled to the locations described in the memo during the relevant time period. They also allegedly got corroborating evidence from a third party that the source met with a person who had deep ties to Burisma Holdings, the Ukrainian energy company that employed Biden’s son and who allegedly paid a bribe to Joe Biden.

The role of the Pittsburgh office was limited in scope to having a “clearing-house function” that prevented “any potential disinformation” about Ukraine from the intake process. As such, it was there to assess the sources and their credibility that the evidence before bringing the investigation to another office. The responsibility for subpoenaing witnesses, records, or going to a grand jury fell squarely with the Delaware office.

The Delaware office, led by David Weiss, apparently chose to ignore the memo’s existence and buried the fact that the Pittsburgh office had corroborated aspects of the memo. The existence of this memo was made a secret from the whistleblowers.

To that end, Weiss’s assistant excluded IRS agents working on the Hunter Biden investigation from the meeting where the Pittsburgh office imparted what they knew about the bribery memo. The IRS agents also testified that portions of the Hunter Biden laptop were hidden from them and they were banned from taking any steps that would connect Joe Biden to his son’s business dealings.

The extent of Joe Biden’s involvement with his son’s business dealings is also an ongoing matter for the House Oversight Committee. On that score, they wrote on Twitter, “In at least a dozen instances, Hunter put his father, then VP, on speakerphone with his overseas business partners. In one instance with Biden associate Devon Archer, two Burisma executives explicitly asked Hunter, “Can you ring your dad?””

In effect, despite Joe Biden’s denials about knowledge of his son’s business affairs, it appears that Joe Biden may have been deeply involved.
