JUST IN: Feds Have Damning DNA Evidence Against Ilhan Omar, Bombshell Report Claims

Federal investigators have reportedly obtained DNA evidence that could play a critical role in a sweeping immigration fraud investigation involving Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., according to a bombshell report from the New York Post.

Sources familiar with the investigation told the outlet that prosecutors are examining DNA evidence, government records and information from whistleblowers as they investigate allegations that have followed the Minnesota Democrat for more than a decade.

At the center of the controversy is the longstanding, unproven allegation that Omar married her biological brother, Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, in 2009 to help him obtain legal immigration status.

Omar has repeatedly denied the accusation, and the report does not establish what the DNA evidence shows or whether it supports investigators’ suspicions.

According to the Post, the investigation intensified Oct. 12 when Homeland Security Investigations agents searched Omar’s Washington, D.C., residence.

Agents were photographed leaving the property carrying boxes labeled as seized evidence. It remains unclear whether investigators obtained the reported DNA samples before or after the search.

Sources told the outlet that prosecutors believe the evidence could support a potential conspiracy case involving immigration fraud.

Former federal prosecutor Neama Rahmani explained how conspiracy allegations could allow investigators to examine conduct dating back several years.

“If you argue a conspiracy, you can allege overt acts in furtherance of the conspiracy that are outside the statute of limitations,” Rahmani said.

The investigation reportedly extends beyond Omar’s previous marriage and includes questions about immigration paperwork submitted when her family arrived in the United States.

Investigators are examining allegations that Omar or her late father, Nur Omar Mohamed, may have misrepresented her birth date in citizenship documents, according to the report.

Omar immigrated to the United States from Somalia with her family in 1995 and became an American citizen after her father naturalized in 2000.

Another component of the investigation involves Omar’s financial disclosures.

Washington, D.C., U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro is reportedly examining accounting discrepancies involving the congresswoman’s reported net worth.

Pirro defended the investigation during an appearance on Fox News.

“That judge would not have signed that warrant unless there was probable cause,” Pirro said. “If there was a crime committed, it will be prosecuted.”

Meanwhile, Trump’s border czar, Tom Homan, suggested over the weekend that federal investigators have developed “a strong case” that could potentially lead to proceedings challenging Omar’s citizenship if immigration fraud is established.

Such an outcome would require substantial legal proceedings and would represent an extraordinary development involving a sitting member of Congress.

The controversy surrounding Omar’s marriages has also resurfaced.

Omar married Elmi in 2009 and legally divorced him in 2017. The Washington Post previously reported that Elmi applied for marriage-based immigration benefits but withdrew his application after immigration officials requested additional documentation.

Ilhan Omar also filed joint tax returns with Ahmed Hirsi in 2014 and 2015 while still legally married to Elmi, adding to longstanding questions about the timeline of her relationships.

However, previous investigations into the allegation that Elmi was Omar’s brother reportedly failed to uncover sufficient evidence to substantiate the claim.

Rahmani suggested prosecutors could pursue a conspiracy case if investigators believe they have enough evidence.

“There’s two reasons why I think the conspiracy will be charged,” Rahmani said. “First, you have an unindicted co-conspirator in her dad, who died. … [Second,] you get some of this older conduct that’s outside the statute of limitations as well.”

Omar’s attorneys are pushing back aggressively.

Her legal team maintains there is “no legitimate basis for any suggestion that she has violated any law concerning her citizenship status.”

Attorneys Amy Jeffress and Joshua Matz have demanded the return of property seized during the search, accusing federal authorities of improperly targeting the congresswoman.

“President Trump has made no secret of his desire to target Representative Omar for criminal investigation and deportation as retribution for her political advocacy,” they wrote.

The Justice Department rejected those accusations, calling the attorneys’ letter “riddled with false allegations and inaccuracies.”

“Our attorneys and law enforcement partners complied with all court orders and legal obligations, as they always do,” a department spokesperson said. “Leaking a letter to the press right after sending it is not good faith. It is a publicity play.”

For now, the reported DNA evidence remains a potentially significant but unverified development in the case.

No publicly disclosed DNA findings establish that Omar and Elmi are siblings, and the allegations against the congresswoman remain unproven.

Whether prosecutors ultimately pursue criminal charges, civil proceedings or no action at all will depend on the evidence investigators can substantiate.
