On Monday, the U.S. House Committee on Oversight and Accountability under the direction of Chairman James Comer (R-KY) issued a letter to the Office of Special Counsel Robert Hur demanding documentation “related to President Biden’s mishandling of classified documents and the Bidens’ influence-peddling schemes.”
Despite reporting from the mainstream media to the contrary, although House leadership is currently in flux, it appears that the investigation of President Joe Biden and his family’s reported corruption has been proceeding apace.
Comer wrote in the letter,
“Evidence suggests President Biden may have used certain members of his family—particularly his son, Hunter Biden—to accumulate millions of dollars from foreign individuals and entities for the benefit of his family and himself. Indeed, the Biden family received millions of dollars from foreign sources while President Biden served in public office and afterwards. If any of the classified documents mishandled by President Biden involved countries or individuals that had financial dealings with Biden family members or their related companies, the Committee needs access to that information to evaluate whether our national security has been compromised.”

According to a press release from the Committee, Oversight was able to obtain financial records that reportedly revealed members of the Biden family, several business associates of theirs, and related business entities took in substantial payments from both persons and firms in “China, Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, and Romania.”
Congressman Nick Langworthy wrote in a post to X, “We have evidence that then-VP Biden’s family took millions of dollars from foreign associates while he was in office. The American people deserve to know if Biden leveraged U.S. intelligence & compromised our national security for his family’s gain.”

Furthermore, the Ways and Means Committee under Chairman Jason Smith (R-MO) identified more than twenty nations, many of them adversarial to the U.S., with ties to the reported Biden family influence peddling scheme.

According to the release,
” Recently, the House Oversight Committee released information revealing the White House and President Biden’s attorney made misleading statements about the discovery of classified materials at Penn Biden Center. At least five White House employees were also tasked with coordinating, organizing, moving, and removing boxes from Penn Biden Center from March 2021 through October 2022.”
Comer concluded, “President Biden’s retention of certain classified documents begs the question as to why he kept these particular materials. Of the many classified documents he reviewed over his lengthy career, why did President Biden keep these specific documents in his home and office? The sensitive nature of the information contained in the documents may answer that question for the Committee, which is why we seek to review those materials.”
He added, “The Committee seeks to further understand why President Biden retained certain classified documents, if such information related to any of his family’s foreign business interactions, and why so many White House officials were involved in obtaining these materials.”
Magot Cleveland, Senior Legal Correspondent for The Federalist seemed to presage the development, noting on X, “When Biden’s lawyers said they found the classified documents, I immediately asked WHY were lawyers involved in cleaning out a closet. Seems my knee-jerk reaction was right.”
Even billionaire entrepreneur and owner of the social media platform Elon Musk made a single-word observation on the allegations echoed by many Americans on Monday when he wrote, “Interesting.”
