BREAKING: House Republicans Release Thousands Of Epstein Documents
The GOP-controlled House Oversight Committee on Tuesday released thousands of documents relating to the Jeffrey Epstein case. The unexpected drop comes ahead of a house-wide vote to formalize the committee’s Epstein investigation later this week.
That vote, if successful, would require the House Oversight Committee to release the Epstein files sent by the Department of Justice.
Among the nearly 34,000 pages set to be released include the DOJ’s recent interview with Ghislaine Maxwell and videos that appear to show the inside of Epstein’s Palm Beach home, Fox News reported. House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY) had subpoenaed the DOJ for all available documents relating to the cases against Epstein and Maxwell,
“This is the most thorough investigation into Epstein and Maxwell to date, and we are getting results,” Comer said during a House Rules Committee meeting on Tuesday evening.
“We have already deposed former Attorney General Bill Barr, the Department of Justice provided nearly 34,000 pages of documents and will produce more, which are being made public as we speak.”
The release comes as Reps. Thomas Massie (R-KY) and Ro Khanna (D-CA) are pushing for a rare procedural maneuver known as a discharge petition, which allows lawmakers to sidestep House procedure if a majority of members sign on. If successful, the move would force a vote on their own bill to release all available Epstein documents.
Massie told Fox News earlier this week that he is confident in achieving the required number of signatures. “I think there’s a real good chance of that,” he said.
Comer dismissed the effort as unnecessary, however, stating that the committee is “way ahead” of the bipartisan pair. “We’re going to go beyond it. We’re already getting the documents from the administration,” Comer said. “I don’t think [the discharge petition is] necessary at all.”
The files released Tuesday night have been uploaded to the Oversight Committee’s website.
In addition to deposing former Attorney General Barr and the DOJ, the committee has subpoenaed former Attorney General Loretta Lynch, ex-FBI Director James Comey, former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
Current Attorney General Pam Bondi has also filed for the release of all available grand jury documents relating to the case, though federal judges in Florida and New York have blocked the release. A third request for documents is ongoing in New York.
The Epstein case has become an increasingly popular talking point among Democrats after the party near unanimously ignored the matter over the past several years. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) has been urging members of his caucus to make all possible efforts to tie President Donald Trump to the notorious pedophile, according to a report from Axios.
Epstein was banned from Trump’s Mar-A-Lago club due to inappropriate conduct with a minor staffer in the early 2000’s. Maxwell, as well as prominent Epstein accuser Virginia Giuffre, have also stated that the president was in now way involved in Epstein’s crimes.
Trump is currently suing the Wall Street Journal over a bizarre story that claims he sent a lewd note and poem to Epstein more than two decades ago. The outlet has reportedly told Trump’s legal team that they are willing to settle the case.

The late Virginia Giuffre, one of the most prominent accusers of Epstein, was a supporter of President Trump’s and said he had no involvement in Epstein’s crimes
