JUST IN: Major Update Revealed In Biden’s Own Classified Docs Probe

President Joe Biden’s attorneys are in negotiation with the Department of Justice’s Special Counsel Robert Hur over the terms of their client’s interview according to NBC News. According to the news outlet, the negotiation revolves around “how, when and where the interview might take place, as well as the scope of the questions” to be asked of the president regarding his storage and handling of classified marked documents dating as far back as his Senate days found in his office at the Penn Biden Center and his home.

The classified material that Biden took when he was a Senator would not be covered by a Presidential Records Act defense that he was entitled to said documents as personal records. As NBC noted about the searches of these areas, they “also turned up a large number of notebooks Biden kept during his time in public office before he was elected president that could contain sensitive information. It is unclear exactly how many documents were seized for review and whether that is still a major factor contributing to the length of the investigation.”

The relative lack of leaking in Biden’s probe compared to the DOJ probe into Trump, Biden’s political rival, is stunning. Also of note is the relatively low cost of the probe into Biden compared to that of Trump. Special Counsel Jack Smith’s two investigations into Trump have cost the taxpayer over $9 million while Special Counsel Hur’s one investigation costs about $1.2 million.

In a different but similar vein, whistleblowers within the IRS have observed that their probe into the president’s son, Hunter, yielded some leads that pointed to Joe Biden being involved in his son’s business dealings but that they were told to ignore such leads and that certain evidence such as the Biden bribery memo that the FBI had was withheld from them. These and other such comparisons between the treatment received by Trump versus Biden have led many conservatives to complain about Biden receiving preferential treatment.

The commentator Amuse declared, “DOUBLE STANDARD: The prosecutor assigned to investigate Biden’s theft and illegal handling of classified documents will have to provide Biden a list of all questions he wants to ask the president BEFORE any interview takes place.”

Justin Schroeder, an X user, concurred by saying “This is what so many of us have been bringing up for years now. Huge double standard. No chance Trump gets this same courtesy.”
