JUST IN: Massive Trump Statue To Be Unveiled At Inauguration

Workers are putting the finishing touches on a colossal bronze statue of President-elect Donald Trump, a towering tribute that supporters hope will be a focal point of his second inauguration. Standing two stories tall, the statue captures Trump in a defiant pose, echoing the strength his backers associate with his political career and personal trials.

Photos obtained by Breitbart News show the sculpture still under construction in a Pennsylvania workshop. According to those involved, the project is privately funded by donors seeking to honor Trump’s resilience, particularly in the wake of last July’s assassination attempt during a campaign stop in Butler, Pennsylvania.

The Butler incident, where an armed individual attempted to kill the then-candidate, became a rallying cry for Trump’s supporters. Supporters of the cryptocurrency project $PATRIOT commissioned Ohio-based sculptor Alan Cottrill to create a monumental bronze statue of Trump.

The former president’s favorable stance on cryptocurrency was a significant factor in garnering support for this tribute. Cottrill, known for his Thomas Edison statue, told Breitbart News that the statue will be the grandest in scale he has ever undertaken.

“I’ve sculpted and cast 400 life size or larger bronze statues across America and the Patriot Statue is our largest single figure to date,” Cottrill revealed. The renowned sculptor has also crafted representations of several other presidents for universities and museums.

“The Patriot Statue of Donald J. Trump was our largest and most controversial undertaking, especially considering the scale and relevance of the event in Butler that took place,” Cottrill said.

He starts the process by shaping a clay model, which serves as the blueprint for the sculpture. Next, sections of bronze are meticulously formed based on this model. These bronze segments are then fused through welding and polished to achieve a seamless finish. Dustin Stockton, who has helped out with the sculpture, predicted that the statue will be ready by the New Year.

“The statue had to be Trumpian. It had to be larger than life and over the top,” Stockton explained. He shared that discussions are underway with several Inaugural Committee members regarding the unveiling at the inauguration. Post-unveiling, the statue is set for a nationwide tour for a year, transported on an 18-wheeler equipped with a crane, according to Stockton.

Following the tour, the intention is to first place the statue in Butler and then permanently install it at the planned Trump Presidential Library. “It’s been one hell of a ride the last decade; the PATRIOT project, statue, and tour is our way of claiming how these incredible times are remembered by history,” said Stockton.

The final location for the statue in Butler remains undecided, and it is uncertain whether it can be placed on the Butler Farm Show grounds—the site of the attempted assassination of Trump. Stockton has discussed the possibility with local stakeholders. In a Tuesday morning phone interview with Breitbart, Butler County Board of Commissioner Vice Chair Kim Geyer, pointed out that the Farm Show grounds are privately owned. Consequently, the decision to host the statue rests with the board of directors of the Farm Show grounds, not the county.

In addition to the large statue, Cottrill is crafting ten smaller, 18-inch-tall bronze statues of Trump in the same pose. Priced at around $3,000 each, these “Patriot Awards” will honor key contributors to the Make America Great Again movement.
