JUST IN: Media, Democrats’ Latest Trump Hoax Smacked Down By New Revelations

Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) published a post on X yesterday that featured a video clip showing kids running away from clouds of tear gas, bawling because their parents were taken from the marijuana fields where they were working by federal authorities. He finished the post by saying, “Trump calls me ‘Newscum’ — but he’s the real scum.”

However, new revelations have come to light that paint the farm in a negative light, exploding the narrative Newsom was attempting to create. According to a report shared on X by Data Republican, Glass House Farms is in the throes of a class-action lawsuit filed against the company for not paying their workers and providing them with breaks.

The lawsuit in question makes the claim that those named as defendants have failed to provide workers with adequate meal breaks, rest periods, recovery or cool down periods in the very hot weather, and sick pay. Glass House Farms is also allegedly not providing overtime pay or reimbursement for business expenses.

Gerardo Melendez, the plaintiff named in the lawsuit, is seeking compensation for himself and other workers in the fields who have been with Glass House Farms for the last four years.

Melendez said that workers are expected to process four pounds of marijuana every day, which is twice the output of skilled hand-trimmers. Due to these unrealistic quotas, employees weren’t able to take meal breaks or rest periods, including bathroom breaks. Many were also allegedly exposed to safety hazards while working extra hours.

Federal agents arrived at the farm, which is a state-licensed cannabis facility, with a warrant to take in illegal employees. Another raid took place at a second Glass House Farm location in Carpinteria.

Agents were confronted by individuals present at the facilities. They then deployed tear gas and smoke bombs to push back protesters who showed up after word of the raid began to spread. Military helicopters were also seen flying over the fields as a means of flushing workers out of the fields.

Mayor of nearby town Oxnard, Luis McArthur, was not pleased with the actions taken by Immigration and Customs Enforcement, going on to say in a social media post, “It is becoming increasingly apparent that the actions taken by ICE are bold and aggressive, demonstrating insensitivity towards the direct impact on our community. These actions are causing unnecessary distress and harm. I remain committed to working alongside our Attorney General and the Governor’s office to explore potential legal avenues to address these activities.”

As the chaos reached a fever pitch, someone brandished a pistol and fired it at federal law enforcement officers. U.S. Attorney for the Central District of California Bill Essayli stated the FBI is now offering a $50,000 award for any information that could lead to this individual’s arrest.

Responding to Newsom’s post about the incident, Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Rodney Scott said, “Here’s some breaking news: 10 juveniles were found at this marijuana facility – all illegal aliens, 8 of them unaccompanied. It’s now under investigation for child labor violations.”
