JUST IN: New York City Parking Garage Collapses In Financial District (VIDEO)

A parking garage collapsed in the Financial District of New York City on Tuesday, leaving multiple dead or wounded so far.

According to authorities, there has been one fatality, one individual injured, and at minimum one person unaccounted for. Rescue workers are attempting to access those affected, but the hazardous environment posed by combustible car parts and the unsteady structure is impeding their progress. Previous records indicate that there were unsafe building violations dating back to 2008 due to the presence of cracks in the concrete.

Stunning video footage of the incident shows a section of the garage’s roof and multiple floors crumbling to the ground.
