JUST IN: Police Investigating New Video Of ‘Suspicious Man’ From Week Before Guthrie Disappearance
Newly surfaced video is drawing attention in the investigation into Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance, with authorities reviewing footage of a man captured on a Tucson doorbell camera days before the incident, TMZ reported.
The clip, first shared Jan. 23 on Ring’s Neighbors app, shows a dark-haired man with a goatee approaching a home roughly 6.5 miles from where Guthrie lives. The video shows the individual backing toward the front door and ringing the bell around 5 a.m.
The homeowner who posted the footage said the would-be intruder ran off after dogs inside the house began barking.
According to a high-ranking law enforcement source cited by TMZ, the FBI and the Pima County Sheriff’s Department are aware of the video and are treating it as a potential lead.
The man in the Ring video appears to have facial hair resembling that of a person seen in images previously released by the FBI from Guthrie’s doorbell camera. In those images, the individual wore a knitted ski mask, though a goatee or beard could be seen beneath the material.
Authorities have asked residents within a two-mile radius of Guthrie’s home to review security camera footage for suspicious activity throughout January. Guthrie was reported missing Feb. 1.
The Ring video has since circulated widely on social media, prompting additional public tips. Investigators are pursuing hundreds of leads and have been inundated with videos and information related to the case.

The search for Guthrie has now entered its second week, with investigators continuing to review digital evidence, surveillance footage, and forensic materials gathered from the scene.
Law enforcement officials have said publicly that tips have poured in from across Arizona and beyond, fueled in part by the release of doorbell camera images and heightened media coverage. Authorities have cautioned, however, that the volume of information has made the review process painstaking as detectives work to separate credible leads from noise.

Search efforts have included ground teams, aerial support, and coordinated work with federal partners. Investigators have focused on mapping Guthrie’s last known movements and examining activity captured by nearby residential security systems.
Officials have also emphasized that forensic testing remains ongoing. Evidence collected at the home is being analyzed, though authorities have indicated that early results have provided limited clarity.
Family members have continued to make public appeals, urging anyone with information — no matter how minor it may seem — to contact authorities. Those close to the case say investigators are particularly interested in unusual vehicle activity, unfamiliar individuals or suspicious behavior observed in the area in the days leading up to Feb. 1.
Despite the challenges, officials insist the investigation remains active and wide-ranging. Detectives are pursuing multiple avenues to determine what happened and who may be responsible.
