JUST IN: Police Swarm Nancy Guthrie’s Home After Second Message From ‘Abductors’
The Pima County Sheriff’s Department says it is investigating a new message tied to the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie.
In a statement posted on social media, officials said they are working with federal authorities to assess the correspondence.
“The FBI and Pima County Sheriff’s Department are aware of a new message regarding Nancy Guthrie,” the post said.
Authorities said investigators are working to determine whether the message is authentic. Shortly after the statement was released, police cleared media from the area and black SUVs were seen arriving at the scene.

The update came nearly 24 hours after a 5 p.m. deadline passed in an alleged ransom note that was sent earlier this week to local news outlets and TMZ.
Local CBS affiliate 13 News also reported receiving a copy of the message. The station was among at least three local outlets that previously received a ransom note connected to Guthrie’s disappearance.
The station said it turned the correspondence over to law enforcement and did not share additional details about its contents.
Authorities continue to treat the case as an active abduction. Investigators believe Guthrie, the mother of NBC “Today” co-host Savannah Guthrie, was forcibly taken from her Tucson home in the early morning hours of February 1.
Officials outlined a detailed timeline during a press conference. Guthrie was dropped off at her home around 9:48 p.m. on Saturday, January 31, after dinner with family. At 1:47 a.m., her doorbell camera disconnected. Software detected a person near the camera at 2:12 a.m., though no video footage was recorded. At 2:28 a.m., Guthrie’s pacemaker app disconnected from her phone.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation is offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to her recovery and is actively vetting ransom-related communications. At least one individual has already been arrested in connection with what authorities described as an “imposter ransom demand.”
Sheriff Nanos also confirmed that blood found on Guthrie’s porch belonged to her.
