JUST IN: Rogue Anti-Trump Judge Hit With Articles Of Impeachment
A House GOP lawmaker has officially filed articles of impeachment against Chief Judge James E. Boasberg of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia, accusing him of abusing his judicial power to block President Trump’s deportation efforts.
Congressman Brandon Gill (R-TX) introduced the resolution on Tuesday, citing Boasberg’s intervention as a direct constitutional violation that obstructed the president’s enforcement of immigration law. “By thwarting President Trump’s lawful efforts to deport violent illegal alien gangsters, Judge Boasberg created a constitutional crisis. He is unfit for judicial office,” Gill wrote in a statement on social media.
The resolution, introduced in the House of Representatives, formally accuses Boasberg of high crimes and misdemeanors, specifically charging him with abuse of power by interfering in the executive branch’s authority to enforce federal law, including the Alien Enemies Act.
The resolution states: “Chief Judge Boasberg, in violation of his oath of office, did knowingly and willfully use his judicial position to advance political gain while interfering with the President’s constitutional prerogatives and enforcement of the rule of law.”

The impeachment article argues that under the Alien Enemies Act, the president has sole and unreviewable discretion to determine whether an invasion has taken place and to act accordingly. It cites Supreme Court precedent from Ludecke v. Watkins (1948), which affirmed that such executive determinations are not subject to judicial review.
Despite this legal precedent, Boasberg ruled to halt deportation flights targeting illegal aliens with known ties to the notorious Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua, a designated foreign terrorist organization. The resolution states that Boasberg “usurped the role of the Executive and unilaterally took upon himself the power and authority of the President.”

The move to impeach Boasberg comes amid growing backlash from conservatives, who argue that judicial overreach has undermined Trump’s efforts to secure the border and protect national security. President Trump took to his social media platform early Tuesday morning to blast Boasberg’s ruling.
“This Radical Left Lunatic of a Judge, a troublemaker appointed by Barack Hussein Obama, wasn’t elected—HE DIDN’T WIN ANYTHING! I WON IN AN OVERWHELMING MANDATE, and fighting illegal immigration may have been the NUMBER ONE REASON. This judge, like many Crooked Judges, should be IMPEACHED! WE DON’T WANT VICIOUS, VIOLENT CRIMINALS IN OUR COUNTRY. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!”

The resolution details Boasberg’s alleged misconduct, including ordering flights carrying deported illegal aliens to be turned around midair, further compromising national security. In an unusual public statement, Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. weighed in on the impeachment effort, cautioning against using impeachment as a political tool.
“For more than two centuries, it has been established that impeachment is not an appropriate response to disagreement concerning a judicial decision. The normal appellate review process exists for that purpose,” Roberts said.
Gill and other House Republicans insist that judicial accountability is crucial to preserving the separation of powers. The resolution argues that Boasberg’s interference “compromises the impartiality of our judicial system and creates a constitutional crisis.”
“For the past several weeks, we’ve seen several rogue activist judges try to impede the president from exercising, not only the mandate voters gave him, but his democratic and constitutional authority to keep the American people safe,” Rep. Gill told said to Fox News on Tuesday. “This is another example of a rogue judge overstepping his…authority.”
“I’ll be talking to [Chairman Jim Jordan, R-Ohio] about it,” Gill continued. “I think the best way to do this…is to go through the judiciary committee, which is where impeachment of judges runs through. I think the more we can stick with that plan, the better.”
