JUST IN: Trump Officially Gets Revenge On WSJ After ‘Defamatory’ Hit Piece

The White House has removed the Wall Street Journal from the pool of journalists set to cover President Donald Trump’s trip to Scotland this coming weekend. Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt made the announcement in a statement delivered to Politico.

Giving the WSJ the boot comes after the publication put out a report that alleged President Trump sent a sexually suggestive letter to now deceased child sex trafficker Jefferey Epstein back in 2003. The president denied that the letter exists, and there has been no official confirmation that its contents are real.

“As the appeals court confirmed, the Wall Street Journal or any other news outlet are not guaranteed special access to cover President Trump in the Oval Office, aboard Air Force One, and in his private workspaces,” Leavitt went on to say in a statement. “Due to the Wall Street Journal’s fake and defamatory conduct, they will not be one of the thirteen outlets on board. Every news organization in the entire world wishes to cover President Trump, and the White House has taken significant steps to include as many voices as possible.”

Politico reached out to the Journal for a comment, but as of the time of this story, none has been provided.

Not long after the WSJ published the article about the letter, President Trump filed a lawsuit against the outlet. The complaint, which spans 18 pages, alleges that the story has caused “overwhelming financial and reputational harm” to the president and demands that the company pay billions of dollars in damages.

“Defendants concocted this story to malign President Trump’s character and integrity and deceptively portray him in a false light,” the lawsuit says.

The Journal article says the letter allegedly includes lines of text that are “framed by the outline of a naked woman.” It also says the letter ends, “Happy Birthday — and may every day be another wonderful secret.”

Two reporters, the Wall Street Journal, Dow Jones, News Corp, and Rupert Murdoch are all named in the suit as defendants. Robert Thomson, CEO of News Corp, is also included in the lawsuit.

“This lawsuit is filed not only on behalf of your favorite President, ME, but also in order to continue standing up for ALL Americans who will no longer tolerate the abusive wrongdoings of the Fake News Media,” Trump said in a statement on Truth Social.

“I hope Rupert and his ‘friends’ are looking forward to the many hours of depositions and testimonies they will have to provide in this case,” he added.
