JUST IN: Would-Be Trump Assassin May Have Had An Accomplice, Bombshell Data Shows
Investigators have reportedly uncovered new data suggesting that Thomas Matthew Crooks, the 20-year-old gunman who attempted to assassinate President Donald Trump, may not have acted alone. Despite the absence of a manifesto or clear motive, sources now claim Crooks may have had an accomplice—a revelation that raises more questions than answers.
Crooks’ parents, Matthew and Mary, have remained completely silent since the incident, refusing all media requests for interviews. The couple has effectively cut off communication with the outside world, retreating into their home. Neighbors say they only leave the house under the cover of darkness, reportedly shopping for groceries at 3 a.m. to avoid public scrutiny.
While the FBI’s handling of the investigation remains opaque, sources close to the probe suggest new forensic and digital evidence could point to additional figures involved in planning or influencing Crooks’ actions. Law enforcement officials have not officially confirmed these reports, but many are demanding transparency amid concerns that crucial information is being withheld.
According to sources who spoke to The New York Post, the FBI has been obstructing local law enforcement’s efforts to fully investigate the case, leaving authorities, Crooks’ former acquaintances, and the public in the dark. Frustration is mounting as those who knew him—friends, classmates, and teachers—struggle to understand how an unassuming young man suddenly became the central figure in an attack that shook the nation.

Doug Hagmann, a seasoned private investigator from Erie, Pennsylvania, was brought in by a private client shortly after the unsettling events of July 13 at Butler Farm to delve into Crooks’ actions. Hagmann, who has a team of six other investigators, has spent months investigating and has interviewed over 100 individuals.
He shared his unsettling findings with The Post, indicating that a “criminal network” linked with Crooks at the time of the assassination attempt against President Trump not only exists but remains active and continues to pose a threat.
Hagmann’s team has carried out in-depth geofencing analysis on cell phones and tablets that were found with Crooks but not owned by him. These devices were traced back to various locations including his home, a rifle range where he practiced shooting, the rally, and Bethel Park High School, where Crooks graduated in 2022.

“We don’t think he acted alone,” Hagmann told The Post. “This took a lot of coordination.”
“In my view, Crooks was handled by more than one individual and he was used for this [assassination attempt]. And I wouldn’t preclude the possibility that there were people at the rally itself helping him.”
Hagmann revealed that one of the electronic devices found with Crooks at various locations during the time of the shooting is still active, with signals emanating from Bethel Park High School. Throughout his investigation, Hagmann encountered significant resistance; he was escorted to the Butler County line and instructed to leave the area twice by individuals who appeared to be either federal agents or private security personnel.
“One can assist in an operation like this by omission or standing down,” Hagmann explained. He stressed the ongoing danger and the need for accountability, stating, “There are people still out there involved in this case that need to be brought to justice.”
