WATCH: Kamala Gets Showered With Boos After Thousands Turn Out In Expectation Of Beyonce Concert

Vice President Kamala Harris struggled to take control of a Houston crowd after luring thousands of people to Shell Energy Stadium with the expectation of a Beyonce performance. A performance never took place, however, at which point the crowd showered the vice president with boos.

Harris continued with what has become a trend of booking music artists to perform free concerts ahead of her rallies on Friday. She has previously hosted concerts from Megan Thee Stallion, Usher and several other high-profile artists before delivering her own speech, giving the impression that thousands of supporters turned out to see her rather than the free concert.

Several videos from Harris rallies have shown “supporters” streaming out of the arenas the moment the concert wraps up.

On Friday, Harris threw one of her biggest concert rallies to date when thousands of fans packed into the stadium with the expectation of seeing performances from Willie Nelson, Kelly Rowland, and hometown superstar Beyonce Knowles. The campaign has previously leveraged Beyonce’s star power, as the singer was rumored to be performing at the Democratic National Convention.

Friday’s event ended up just like the DNC, however, as Beyonce did not perform. Instead, she delivered a short stump speech for the Harris-Walz Campaign focusing mostly on abortion. “I’m here as a mother who cares deeply about the world, my children and all of our children,” she said. “A world where we have the freedom to control our bodies.”

After the concert failed to materialize, Harris was showered with boos in the middle of her speech. She then told hecklers that they were “at the wrong rally” and instructed them to go to “that smaller rally down the street.” It is unclear which rally Harris was referring to, as former President Trump was doing a rally three hours away in the Texas capital of Austin.

The vice president has continuously used the same line whenever she is interrupted by pro-Palestine protesters, seemingly using it whether there is a “smaller rally down the street” or not.

Despite her attempts to rein them in, Harris was continuously heckled and booed for long periods of time throughout her speech.

Conservative activist and comedian Alex Stein posted videos of hecklers being escorted out of the rally throughout the event. “People were heckling Kamala like crazy all night…the secret service was stressed out,” he wrote in an X post.

Friday night’s incidents were notable as Harris and Walz are typically interrupted by pro-Palestine protesters who accuse them of enabling “genocide” in Gaza. Friday’s hecklers appeared to be a mixture of Trump supporters and music fans who were disappointed over the concert bait-and-switch.
